Prostitution is ALREADY LEGAL at the Federal Level

I've cringed to hear the media conjure up scenarios of rampant drug use and prostitution in recent interviews. If these media-planted images persist in people's heads, Ron Paul won't have a chance in the upcoming election. If anyone reading this has any influence, I would love to hear Ron Paul make these non-issues next time he's asked, as follows. On "legalizing" prostitution, heroin & drugs, here's a great answer that would articulate Dr. Paul's position very clearly and reasonably, while setting the public at ease:

"Prostitution is ALREADY LEGAL at the Federal level. Currently (except for a few provisions regarding interstate trafficking), there is NO FEDERAL LAW that bans prostitution. Yet 49 out of 50 states have made prostitution illegal, and that's their right. So my position on prostitution is pretty much the status quo -- let the states decide.... And that's what I'd like to do with drugs -- LET THE STATES DECIDE -- and end this federal war on drugs that's costing us billions in revenue and countless lives. Now, ending the federal war on drugs would not suddenly make all drugs legal. Currently, by state law, heroin is illegal in all 50 states, and that would not change if the federal government ended its war on drugs. What would change, is states would no longer have to look over their shoulder (to see if big brother federal government is watching) if they wanted to legalize things such as medical marijuana or industrial hemp."

Even if the Ron Paul campaign never sees this, I think it's still worthwhile if we the grassroots can help get the REAL-WORLD SCENARIO out on issues like this.
