Ahhh, man. I saw the thread title, spent 5 minutes looking for a clip of Reverend Lovejoy saying "I. Cast. Thee. Out!" but failed and decided to settle on this Hitler picture instead. Then I open the thread and see what you're actually talking about. Well I'm gonna use Hitler anyway
"I cast thee out!"

Initially, the economic liberalism had to contend with the supporters of feudal privileges for the wealthy, aristocratic traditions and the rights of kings to run national economies in their own personal interests. By the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th, these were largely defeated.
Today, economic liberalism is associated with classical liberalism, "neoliberalism", "propertarian" libertarianism, and some schools of CONSERVATISM [emphasis added].

The Liberals keep redefining the terms.
Ultimately the law comes from G-d. Living in bondage is not a blessing. It's a curse. When we turn away from G-d's law, we lose the blessings of liberty. This premise, by far precedes Feudalism, which is sort of what we have now.

Economic liberalism is the economic component of classical liberalism.[1] It is one the the main components of the ideology of capitalism. It is an economic philosophy that supports and promotes laissez-faire economics and private property in the means of production. ~Same source

This.
It pisses me off whenever I read any history book and people get confused because it is talking about liberals who are fighting for free market economies and smaller government.

Most of the folks on these forums are economically liberal. Ron Paul is too.
Unless you meant economically leftist, which is quite a different thing altogether.

And even then, she's wrong about herself. There's nothing small-p progressive about centralising authority among a few power-hungry snobs, killing unborn children, stealing other people's money and starting wars.

I'm liberal on foreign interventions and revenge based wars issues.

If you're influenced by Marxism (and almost the entire academy is influenced by Marxism to one degree or another), there is.
