U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, called for "a return to the Constitution and protecting civil liberties" and for a foreign policy based less on making war than "talking to other nations."

"If Kennedy could talk to Khrushchev in 1962 at the height of the Cold War, why can't we talk to people?" Paul said.

"We certainly ought to be able to talk to Third World nations that don't even have nuclear weapons.

"The talk about the war against Islamic fascism -- whatever that is supposed to be," said the populist congressman who is running a campaign that stresses grass-roots organization.

"I am not worried about that war -- whatever it is. I am worried about the war that will ensue after the bombs start falling on Iran."

Paul's speech, heavy on talk of spending less, beginning to pay down the national debt and halting intervention in "the business of other nations," was frequently interrupted by applause and greeted with a standing ovation by about 300 people gathered at the conference in the Double Tree Hotel.

Paul was the only Republican to show respect to these citizens by making an appearance, and he was well received.

Can the Arab American Vote win Michigan for us? How big is their population in Michigan?

I'm not sure, but I'd guess the Arab population here is greater than any other state just due to Dearborn alone. Also, this isn't just about Michigan, this conference will influence voters all over the country. I'd say this helps Ron out a LOT.

When is RP Audio going to get some upgraded servers?

They have been bogged down every time I have gone there in the last several months.

Well I myself am Arab and am doing my best to spread the message to friends and family. I think the Arab Vote will be very easy to win if more simply knew about him.

Don't quote me, but I think Michigan might have one of the highest concentrations of Arabs in America.

Would it be possible for Ron Paul supporting arab-americans with relations to people in Saudi or Kuwait or even in Iraq, to form Ron Paul meetup groups there and to have them meet up with americans (soldiers or civilians) also supporting Ron Paul over there? Wouldn't that be a nice photo opportunity?
