PRESIDENT – NATIONAL – GOP PRIMARY (Zogby)
Chris Christie 17%
Herman Cain 14%
Ron Paul 10%
Mitt Romney 9%
Newt Gingrich 7%
Sarah Palin 4%
Tim Pawlenty 4%
Mike Huckabee 4%
Donald Trump 4%
Mitch Daniels 4%
Michele Bachman 2%
Rick Santorum 2%
Gary Johnson 1%

This poll is weird. I find it odd that Huckabee only has 4%, and it's also weird in that Christie is not even running as of now.

Cain has 14%?!?

If Frank Luntz's group was infilitrated by Ron Paul supporters who kept dialing negative reactions to everything he said and then were selected as the final focus group, proceeding to praise Ron at every chance as the absolute winner, I think Luntz's head would explode and the feed would cut out immediately due to "technical errors". But Ron would probably be leading in the polls if that was carried out.

It is a weird poll, though.

I'm not changing my view that we take control of the GOP committees for delegates despite a third place finish. We are a republic and not a democracy. The primaries are all for show.

The thing to take from this poll is Dr. Paul's support is solid at around the 10% range and it doesn't waver in regards to who else is included, unlike the other candidates. The task now is to get that 10% to convince at least 2 friends each to vote for Dr. Paul, register and drag them to the polls.

Luntz talking about the "ugly" and "violent" nature of some of Ron Paul supporters. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0mS35mqnRE)

Yeah, this is a Zogby "Interactive" poll. Has no weight in the real world.

The Zogby Interactive polls are self-selected to a degree. You sign up to get occasional polls online. I originally signed up last election cycle and still fill them out on occassion. In fact, I probably was one of the 1377 polled for this one.

In conclusion, it is unscientific but respected, so a pretty easy way to make our voice known.

As a member of the Gallup poll I'm really surprised I haven't seen a political poll yet.
