View Full Version : We Need These People--->List of Influential/Big Donors In Iowa, NH, SC, NV

Politico has lists for the first four states of very important people in the Iowa and New Hampshire that are not only major donors, but also very influential politically. A lot of these people have the ability to set the debate and sway the people towards one candidate or another. A lot of them not surprisingly endorsed Romney, Huckabee, or McCain in 08 (major players), but I don't think it is far-fetched to think that we can't bring them to our team given that RP is a top tier player now.
It would be extremely beneficial to email them and/or send them letters asking for their endorsements. An endorsement not only brings media coverage but it does have the ability to bring in tons of money, votes, and other endorsements. I think it is safe to say a lot of these people wouldn't just be for "show" like a Bill Clinton endorsement or something. They have connections, inner circles, local/community/statewide support, and money.
Even a couple endorsements from each state might give us a push!

Ryan Rhodes - Chairman, Iowa Tea Party Rhodes's group claimed a role in the election of several Iowa legislators, as well as in Republican Matt Schultz's upset 2010 victory over Democratic incumbent Michael Mauro for Iowa secretary of state.

Iowa Craig RobinsonEditor-in-chief, The Iowa Republican - Founder of the increasingly influential website that's not shy about exploring GOP controversies, Robinson is also a former political director for the state Republican party.
Isn't The Iowa Republican the website where Ron has written op-eds, such as his statement on the Defense of Marriage Act? Perhaps this guy would be willing to listen.

He would be a big one:
New Hampshire:
Jack Kimball - State GOP chairman Kimball's victory in the race for the state's GOP chairmanship surprised New Hampshire's establishment, but he is a favorite of the grass-roots, tea party wing of Granite State Republicans. His presence at the helm of the state GOP gives him major influence — and his endorsement would be a big asset to any candidate.
READ THIS:
Whoever is going to win the primary here has to be a person the ultra conservatives and tea party folks agree with, and these are the major issues: small government, reduced spending, tax cuts, personal responsibility and personal liberty and getting back to our constitutional values.
That’s the first thing. The second thing is they’ve got be willing to take the gloves off. They’ve got to be willing to fight and make sure they make the people understand they’re passionate about these issues. That they’re willing to fight for them, and they’re not afraid to go after right now the policies of this current president.

New Hampshire:
Jerry DeLemus Granite State Patriots Liberty PAC chairman A homebuilder and former Marine, DeLemus is a political newbie. He founded the Rochester 9/12 Project, a tea party affiliated group in New Hampshire, two years ago. During the midterm elections, his group supplanted the weak local GOP and prominently sponsored a number of debates for Republican candidates. And when tea party ally Jack Kimball won the state party chairmanship, he handed DeLemus the reins to the Granite State Patriots Liberty PAC, an umbrella tea party group. His wife Sue is a freshman state representative who sponsored a bill requiring presidential primary candidates to provide birth certificates.
Ally to the GOP chairman, here are his personal interests:

New Hampshire:
Gordon Humphrey
Former U.S. senator. The conservative Humphrey is the godfather of the tea party movement in New Hampshire. He emerged last year as a fixture at tea party rallies across the state and was active in Ovide Lamontagne's Senate campaign.
Could be attracted to Ron Pauls fiscal conservatism: He voted against the federal budget all 12 years he was a member of the Senate, each time because the proposed budget ran a deficit. Humphrey returned to New Hampshire politics in 2000 by challenging incumbent Governor Jeanne Shaheen. Shaheen, a Democrat, was considered vulnerable in the wake of a State Supreme Court decision requiring the state to play a larger role in funding education, which many saw as a path toward instituting a statewide income or sales tax. Humphrey pledged to block attempts to enact such taxes, but was narrowly defeated in a contentious campaign.
