Your point has merit. That said, there is nuanced distinction if it is assumed that people who showed fake OBL death photo to at least three members of Senate Armed Services Committee are not same ones who are saying they will not realese his death photo for fear of retaliation from Al Qaueda.

In that scenario, Senator Scott Brown came on national TV and pushed claims based on what was later determined to be fake photo.
The other group is just "hiding" the facts from public and not PROVEN to have made false claims se far despite a lot of people believeing that they are being told lies in an ever changing story.

I still don't understand this story. Either Scott Brown lied about being shown a photo (faked) of Osama bin Laden's dead body by a senior member of one of our Intelligence Agencies and really saw it on twitter/facebook/god knows where, or he was really shown a photo that ended up being a fake. If the latter is true, I agree that the whole thing goes to another level entirely. It already stinks to high heaven.

If it was fake, who cares? We ALL saw fake pictures, whether you wanted to or not, they were all over the internet. And since when does he owe them anything?

Because he has so far chosen not to reveal who showed him the fake OBL death photo.

Sen. Ayotte (R-NH), who was a prosecutor and saw thousands of gruesome photos, was fooled by it, too. She used some weasel words about not being able to "verify" it, but concluded that it came from another senator who was "usually a good source" and SHE was satisfied he was dead. :confused:

Rumors are floating around that a senate aide admitted the photo came from Saxby Chambliss. He is, of course, refusing to even comment on that kind of absurdity. Because it's absurd, right? ;)

There are believers and there are skeptics and can't blame them entirely considering track record of government machinery. Best thing at this point seems to be that all photoshop/image manipulation software use by ALL tax payer funded agencies should be completely prohibited going forward. Fake images could have cost tax payers upwards of $3 Trillion already looking at recent history.

Help me out here. That is some of the best "airbrushing" i've ever seen. Are we sure that they took the women 'out' or were they given a version of the image where the women were never put 'in'. There are parts of the image in the newspaper that just couldn't have existed because Clinton was in front.

It seems to me that this whole image is one big mash up of individual pictures of those people.

As a layman, have to say that does seem like impressive work.
I had earlier proposed ban of "photoshop" use by all tax payers funded agencies, I would add to that proposal for the ban to be extended to anyone who received tax payers aid in foreign countries. This is getting bit out of hand.
