Does anyone know why sometimes skepticism regarding governmental or official claims is called "dissent" but at other times it is termed as "conspiracy theory"?
For example:
- When some people expressed skepticism about official claims regarding Iraq WMDs, it was seen as "conspiracy theory"
- When some people expressed skepticism about official claims regarding Obama's birthing being an inside (America) job, it was seen as "dissent"
It gets bit confusing how these terms are coined and applied by officials of MSM and big government.
For example:
