Other. We need something in mid to late July to raise funds for the Iowa straw poll.

Other, I like the idea of having a Money Bomb in Mid July on a Tuesday, less busy distractions on a weekday like Tuesday.
*Another idea would be a multi-day money bomb or a weekly money bomb...like July 1st - July 5th to get the folks before the weekend festivities, on them, and a day after...call the Independence Week Money Bomb.

And people should understand that July 4 is a horrible day to raise funds. Someone has been trying to discredit this idea by saying that that is what people said about December 16, being around Christmas and all, but that ignores the fact that most people aren't away from their computers like on July 4. Everyone is out shooting off fireworks with their family, and having cookouts. No one celebrated Christmas or the Christmas holiday on December 16. Everyone was at their computers, and readilly able to make a donation.

Ya will be celebrating on that day out of all the dates on there i see that one being the one to raise least amount of money

We should not do another debate day so we don't seem to be repetitive. July 4th is great for it!

July 4th is awful. It will be a four day weekend and everyone will be traveling back home on the fourth. That or they will be out on the lake, at a parade, outside grilling all day, etc. This has already been established and agreed upon by a good number of people in past discussions.

I chose other. I think July 26th, its the last Tuesday in July. We frame it as "Ready, Ames, Fire" and make it about preparing for the Ames ground efforts leading up to the straw poll. There is no choice between July 4th and August 11th, thats the only range I think we should be looking at. August 2nd, the anniversary of the income tax being enacted in 1861 (fact check needed) and August 8th, the anniversary of the dollar's creation (sound money theme). August 8th is probably too late if its in prep for the straw poll though...

* "Ready, Ames, Fire" is the intellectual property of Gage Skidmore. Wanted to give him the deserved props, because its pretty clever.

I'm changing my vote to June 13th AND "four million by the fourth" -- running fundraiser goal not a moneybomb..
