View Full Version : We must tell Meetup groups about Nov. 5th

There are almost 11,000 people who have pledged on ThisNovember5th.com to donate 100 dollars to the campaign. But there are over 50,000 Meetup members...

I think that it is VERY important to email Meetup groups and tell them about donating on the 5th. I think THOUSANDS of new donor pledges can be found this way.

My reasoning for this is as follows:
- People who have joined a Meetup group are actively looking for ways to support Ron.
- Many normal people have never donated to a campaign because "50 or 100 bucks is kind of a lot to me, but won't make a lick of difference in a campaign. So donating really isn't worth it. Only those rich people who can donate $2,000 make any difference."
- People are more willing to donate if they see thousands of others like them doing the same thing. At that point, they feel their pledge actually matters.

So I think it is important that people start emailing regional Meetup groups to spread the word about ThisNovember5th.com.

(Also, this is my first thread and my second post, so be gentle!)
