BOMBSHELL:

CNN: RON PAUL RUNS TOUGHEST AGAINST OBAMA

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/05/05/cnn-poll-still-no-front-runner-in-the-battle-for-the-gop-nomination/

Who does best against Obama? Paul. The congressman from Texas, who also ran as a libertarian candidate for president in 1988 and who is well liked by many in the tea party movement, trails the president by only seven points (52 to 45 percent) in a hypothetical general election showdown. Huckabee trails by eight points, with Romney down 11 points to Obama.

This is great news. 10% nationally is super (CNN always gives Ron a bit higher than others, but Rasmussen had RP @ 8% too), and RP tends to run 1-2 points higher in New Hampshire.

Ron will outperform his Iowa and Nevada polling numbers in those states because they are caucus states.

Suffolk data from new hampshire (among likely rep primary voters)
http://www.suffolk.edu/images/content/FINALNewHampshireMarginalsMay3211.pdf

Ron Paul favorables: 41/32 (good)
Mike Huckabee favorables: 41/31
Bachmann: 25/22
Trump: 27/56 (very low)
Huntsman: 8/7
Gingrich: 38/38
Palin: 42/46
Pawlenty: 30/13 (good)
Romney: 65/22 (NH LOVES ROMNEYCARE!!)

2012 Primary Poll:

Romney 35
Paul 8 (RP wins 18-34 age group by 8 votes for RP to 7 votes for Romney)
Trump 8
Giuliani 8
Palin 7
Huckabee 6
Pawlenty 5

Who is most conservative?

Ron Paul wins with 18% of the poll.

Romney is gonna be impossible to beat in NH - but Ron Paul needs to get 2nd place. So Ron needs to win Iowa straw poll, win Iowa caucuses (or 2nd), then take 2nd in New Hampshire.

In NH...

Out of the field, who do you feel is the most conservative?
RP - 18%
Gingrich - 13%
Huckabee - 9%

And since Palin isn't running, Paul is actually much higher than that.
