Conspiracy: Was $NaN.NaN a joke or error?

SOme of us noticed shortly after the moneybomb started the ticker showed $NaN.NaN for a few minutes. This may have been a null error however the timing was right about when we reached $12,000 the same goal Tim Pawlenty had for his 12 hour moneybomb. We reached that goal in under 10 mins.
