2010 was The Year of Scams: The 2G spectrum scam, the CWG scandal, the Adarsh Housing Society debacle, all contributed to shatter India's image on the global stage. Yet, scams are not new to this part of the world. In fact, since Independence, India has seen so many cases of high-profile fraud, it's a wonder why we haven't already been renamed the Republic of Scams.

In this feature, we showcase the top scams in the country. Some run into thousands of crores of rupees, while others do not involve big numbers: The following pages contain the controversies that shook the nation, listed in chronological order, beginning from 1948.

There is high possibility that Indian government will fall/change in coming days. Today 50 grams of roasted groundnuts cost 10 Indian rupees. 1 Litre good quality milk costs 47 Indian rupees. Real estate prices in india are uncontrollable and exploding.

India food inflation reached 18% in Feburary 2010. High inflation is uncontrollable. There are some frauds/scams being discovered in India right now involving government people.

What is the food inflation worldwide and real estates prices?

There is high possibility that Indian government will fall/change in coming days.
The same possibility applies to USA government. India and USA are friends/allies financially.
