To put aside any other theories for a second, lets assume for sake of this discussion that Obama and Obama government would never hide truth from public and will always be honest with the public. With that condition set:

But former West German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt called the killing "quite clearly a violation of international law." Geoffrey Robertson, a prominent London-based human rights lawyer, said the killing "may well have been a cold-blooded assassination" that risked making bin Laden a martyr.

Osama bin Laden’s killing: Was it legal?
By Melissa Bell

Why have there been virtually no expressions of concern from those who normally uphold fundamental due process, as well as from civil libertarians? Could he instead have been disabled and disarmed? Was a serious effort made to capture bin Laden, or was this basically an assassination of bin Laden? What happened to the concept that even the worst of us is entitled to due process and a fair trial?

Looking at the questions being asked, could fear of some international law prosecution be now keeping Obama from releasing any photo that could be used as "evidemce" by some liberal human rights lawyers in Geneva?
