Bad news for Buddy Roemer.

The former Louisiana governor, who was originally expected to participate in the first debate of the 2012 Republican primary, has been shut out, unable to meet Fox News’ requirement of garnering at least 1 percent in five recent national polls.

How come polling-1% former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson is allowed in but polling-1% former Louisiana Governor Buddy Roemer is barred from this debate?

good question. Probably the same reason Johnson is scheduled to be on Shamity after the debate.

I think that Gary polled at 1% in a Fox News poll while Buddy Roemer didn't register any support.

Johnson has hit 1% in every poll that he has been included in. Roemer hasn't 1% in a single poll I know of.

This doesn't directly answer your question, but Gary said during his first GOP primary for Governor, in Feb of that year he was polling at 2% and the primary was in June, but still managed to win

Buddy Roemer got an "N/A", which means he wasn't included in the poll. If Fox News could include Fred Karger in that poll and round him up to 1%, I think Roemer has a reason to be upset.

It's 1% in five recent polls to be included in this debate. Has Gary Johnson hit the 1% mark in five different, recent presidential primary polls?

Who the fuck is Buddy Roemer?

Most non-New Mexico residents tuning in tomorrow will be asking that about Johnson; who has 12% name ID nationally last Gallup reported.

Wow they aren't even trying to be subtle about it are they? Not even registering in half the polls he's in, yet....but he's the one asked on Hannity....

GJ is not even listed on Real Clear Politics (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/us/republican_presidential_nomination-1452.html) which means he has not been covered in polls, or was less then 1%. Yet he is still included.

Ron Paul has been on Hannity's tv and radio show recently. I wouldn't complain.

The two most recent FNC polls (both in April) have him at 1%. That counts as at least one. Then there Quinnipiac, 2-3. Then a Gallup poll in March earlier had him at 1. That's 3-4. Also, some of the polls list "other" with upwards of 5%. Perhaps some of those include Johnson with upwards of 1%.

The radio show is almost a pre interview for the tv show. I don't so much care about hannity per se as about bias.
