Islamabad - Pakistan media reported Wednesday that a 12-year-old daughter of Osama bin Laden has said that she was present when her father was killed by the US troops.
The Dawn newspaper said the unnamed girl told officials of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) that she witnessed the killing of bin Laden.
'Osama bin Laden's teenage daughter witnessed her father's death in the compound in Abbottabad according to an ISI official,' the paper said.
But it did not provide details of the killing or the struggle with the US troops before he was shot dead.
Bin Laden's daughter is the only person who has confirmed the death of the al-Qaeda leader after the announcement by US President Barack Obama that US forces had killed the mastermind of the September 11 attacks on Monday morning in Abbottabad, 60 kilometres north-east of the capital Islamabad.
Another daily, The News, said quoting official sources that bin Laden's daughter witnessed her father's death.
'Osama bin Laden's daughter confirmed her father was captured alive and shot dead by the United States special forces during the first few minutes of the midnight operation,' the paper said.
The assertion contradicts the US claim that the Navy SEALs tried to capture bin Laden alive but killed him when he resisted.
The Dawn said that there were 17 to 18 people in the compound at the time of attack and the US soldiers took away one of the sons of bin Laden along with his body.
Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that all those captured from the compound including children were being looked after and would be handed over to their countries of origin.

Well I want to see the pictures and video so the more versions out there the better in my opinion.

I'm sure the video will be disgusting to watch, but at least that way people know the details. Or I'll just read a summary of the video.

1. Shot while resisting.

2. Shot during melee.

3. Shot by bodyguard.

4. Shot after capture.

5. Dead long ago. ;)

I don't know. The guy is probably drinking pina coladas with Hitler and Elvis in Rio.

It matters not what version the people believe so long as the people believe that Bin Laden really died this time. Apparently in web testing they have established most Americans don't care how immoral/unethical the kill was and the more cold-hearted the better for the overall agenda.

This brings to mind visions of the girl in the Wag The Dog movie...

I keep hearing I need to watch that movie.

It was on cable just a couple weeks ago so I watched it again. GOOD movie. Very funny and yet very angering as it really has a ring of truth to it when you know about government corruption.

Things that have been coming out of Bush/Obama administrations and their media cohorts, it's pretty hard to seperate half truths from lies. And not just Iraq WMD but the rest too.

This is secondary but the trend is same.

Osama bin Laden hideout 'worth far less than US claimed'
The Guardian - ‎34 minutes ago‎
Osama bin Laden's compound in Abbottabad, described by US officials as being worth $1m. Local property experts estimate its value at a quarter of that sum.

Perhaps that was the projected property value after it's turned into a tourist attraction.

Who the hell knows how or when OBL died, but I'm sure that he's dead. Either way it's long past time for the troops to come home.

Interesting websites in light of cynicism towards media coverage and military collusion regarding government propaganda would be:

The Pat Tillman and Jessica Lynch frauds
http://www.salon.com/news/opinion/glenn_greenwald/2007/04/25/tillman_lynch

and one specific to the Jessica Lynch story with a good blow by blow from various media sources (across so called political biases) so one can really ruminate over just how much we should trust the media reporting and how much mud should be slung at skeptics:

It's actually kind of a dumb movie because of the horrible background music but the premise is good.

Hoax. It's either not Osama's daughter, or she's on the CIA payroll. They're going to play this "should or should we not release the photos" game for awhile to drag it all out. Just like he dragged out the birther isssue. It's brilliant, but sinister.

CNN just ran this story.

But they totally left out the part where she said they captured him alive.

The assertion contradicts the US claim that the Navy SEALs tried to capture bin Laden alive but killed him when he resisted.

The problem here is that the rest of the world does not understand the US definition of "resisting". For anyone that needs a reminder:

And now they are using this, and the information gathered at the compound, as a reason to permanently extend the Patriot Act which is due to expire this month.

yep. In 20-50 years, the truth will come out-OBL has been dead for a decade, and this "official" killing was just for show.

Then we'll point this out to people and just like the Gulf of Tonkin they'll just shrug and go "Well they had their reasons, why should I care?"

I thought KSM was the 'mastermind' behind 9/11?

After "offing" the number 2 guy in AQ, and the number 3 guys, and the number 4 guy here and there, again and again, it is obvious that OBL had a chain of command that ran even deeper than the one the US Air Force has at the Pentagon.

I tend to wonder the same thing. Putting out a million contradictory stories is a good way to preoccupy people but keep them from getting anywhere (contaminating the scene with an overabundance of contradictory evidence). This can be used as psychological manipulation. If you want to brainwash people into believing something but you know there's going to be a debate, then create the debate yourself and frame it around specific assumptions, where those assumptions are the key elements you want people to believe. As long as all the versions coming out have a key element in common - e.g. that OBL was killed this week - then people take that for granted and debate the wrong question or just "pick their favorite version," as sirgonzo420 said. (It's similar to the false dichotomy offered for almost every political issue: Should government ban it, or should government subsidize it? Is the Fed doing a good job, or should the Fed do more?) I'm not sure if framing the debate like this is a well-known technique with a specific name, but I can recognize it nonetheless, and IMO its presence should probably bring the common denominator under scrutiny...since that's the thing that "they" are "trying too hard" to push.
