I'm just wondering if I'm really the only person who has noticed the irony in this:
Today is World Press Freedom Day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Press_Freedom_Day)... oh, yeah, and Canadians are having to invent ways to tweet about their election results (http://newsfeed.time.com/2011/05/03/canadian-twitter-users-break-election-law-earn-street-cred/) because Canada is freaking dumb.
It's kind of bizarre to me that "real journalists" don't even think to write a story about this. All the "World Press Freedom Day" stories are about dictatorial regimes in, like, Africa that kill journalists... but Heaven forfend that Western media should look to their own press-"killing" laws that they can actually do something about.
This was just a random thought I was having that I thought might get some sympathy from the Ron Paul crowd.... it's not really a propos of anything.
