I posted (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?290173-QOTD-Poll-How-much-money-are-you-expecting-for-the-May5th-MB&p=3241065#post3241065)yesterday at 6:25 PM Eastern that the total Facebook pledge count for the May 5 moneybomb was 5,158, which itself is a pretty impressive number.

Check out the facebook (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=58008852#!/event.php?eid=176057135779358) page now! We're up to 5,743.

It's one thing if 585 new people "like" Ron Paul on facebook. It's another if 585 additional people commit to donating to Ron's campaign.

This is great news, folks! Let's try to break 7,000 total donors by May 5!

yeah too bad we don't have an extra two weeks to promote because the momentum's finally starting to pick up.

If you haven't joined the facebook page yet, what are you waiting for?

To put it into perspective, we had roughly 2,100 attendees for the LibertyPAC moneybomb, which raised around 300k.

to be fair it raised closer to 400k i believe. im really curious to see how much money is donated. i hope it blows me away, but im expecting somewhere between 1 million and 2 million

I'm expecting around 1 million. I think that more people will donate and each donation will be greater in amount, due to the fact that it is an exploratory committee not a PAC. I think the debate could bring us an extra 500k, depending on how he does.

I think it'd be cool if Ron were able to promote the moneybomb during the debate. I doubt he would but that would really fire up the base

If you count all the "maybe" commits we're over 7000 already.

We broke through 6,000! I have no idea where these people are piling in from, but keep em coming!
Let's break 7000! To raise $2 million, though, would mean everyone gives $285, yikes.

2012. Ron Paul.
This is the last go-round, folks. I hope everyone realizes that. There is no tomorrow.

YIPPIE KAI YAIIIIIII!!!!!!

UNDERPROMISE AND OVER DELIVER. No matter how bold any of us are feeling (and I feel VERY bold), we MUST underpromise and estimate that it may hit 700K. But we have to do everything we can (send letters to our family and friends pleading them to donate any tiny amount, etc., promoting the debate day bomb, etc.) to try and surpass December 16th.

The only way we can surpass Dec. 16 (not saying it will happen, because it in all probability won't happen), is to tie it to "BRING THE TROOPS HOME!". We must convince the masses that by donating even five lousy dollars to RP, we are sending a message to Obama that we want the troops home immediately!

How to invite ALL your friends to the event with a click of a button:

Download "Better Facebook (http://betterfacebook.net/)". It is fast and easy, and will now give you a button to invite everybody.

We need EVERYONE to do this. I invited about 7,000 and now am posting at least updates a day about it.

This is an AMAZING idea. Can you please start a thread about this since it is your idea? We should start planning this as soon as the 5th is over.
