MONDAY UPDATE: HUNTSMAN, RON PAUL ADD STOPS. Now the "former" U.S. Ambassador to China, Jon Huntsman is back in the United States meeting with top advisers this week, planning his next move.

Huntsman's resignation as ambassador became effective on April 30. Free of the restrictions placed on those employed by the federal government, Huntsman is expected to move toward serious consideration of a run for President.

He has already scheduled a visit to New Hampshire on May 21 to deliver the commencement address to graduates of Southern New Hampshire University, and we've learned his slated another stop.

Huntsman is scheduled to address the Windham Republican Town Committee at the Nesmith Library in Windham from 5 to 8 p.m. that same night.

Separately, we've learned that when likely Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul visits New Hampshire on May 12, he will be the keynote speaker at a fundraiser for the New Hampshire House Republican Victory PAC at the Grappone Center in Concord.

Tickets are $125 for a "VIP reception" and $35 for the cocktail party. Also, we've learned that Mitt Romney will return to the state on Tuesday, May 3, for a morning roundtable discussion with business owners at a downtown office in Nashua. They'll talk about jobs, the economy and the business climate.

An earlier update and the full April 28 Granite Status follow.
