There is a NASCAR event, the Pep Boys Auto 500, starting today(Friday) and lasting through Sunday, the 28th. We need anybody close to the Atlanta Motor Speedway in a Meetup group(or not) to show up with your NASCAR and Ron Paul gear on, and let the race fans know who to vote/cheer for in the real race for the White House! An excellent way to have fun and be organized/know what to expect is below!

How to have a NASCAR meets Ron Paul Event (101)
By Scanner Scott

Please Note: This will be tons of fun if you form a plan and stick to this guideline below.
Not reading and following this guideline in full may result in getting Ron Paul negative coverage; tazering by security, or getting your ass kicked by a crowd of 2nd Amendment loving Americans. Just Kidding! Maybe. This event should be done by active r3VOLution type supporters that are willing to donate time and supplies to get Ron Paul’s name out to thousands of Race Fans nation wide. This should not be done by anyone just looking to sell their Ron Paul apparel. Everyone else is already there to sell these Fans something. We should just be waking them up to the fact that there is Hope For America. Remember, It’s better to ask for forgiveness then permission.

I found these to be the best answers to Who’s Ron Paul?
• To Men: Out of all ’08 candidates Dr. Paul leads in donations from our Military and
supports our 2nd Amendment rights to bare arms.
• To Women: Dr. Paul has given birth to over 4000 babies and was a US Air Force Flight Surgeon.
• To Young Adults: Want to stop paying your income taxes and keep your money?
Then be apart of the Hope for America and check out Ron Paul.
Then hand them a leaflet and/or DVD.

1. “Ron Paul for President 2008”banner fly-over.
Please ChipIn…! The Granny Warriors have taken care of everything but PAYMENT.
Your help is needed by sending a few bucks into this Donation site.
It covers all remaining races. Atlanta – Texas – Phoenix – Miami.

2. SPEED Channel Live TV – Sign Waves.

Here's the skinny.....

Speed Channel TV has several NASCAR shows that are all broadcasted from their 'SPEED STAGE' which will be located outside the speedway all weekend. The backdrop of these shows are “sign waving Race fans”.

My plan...

Get as many supporters to infuse into the crowd as possible and hold up your signs. These shows go out to millions of race fans across the globe, so 'trying' to get the media there is not going to be a problem. Speed Channel is the media for the NASCAR Nation. You just have to dress like a race fan, go to the “SPEED Stage” area and position yourself behind the TV hosts by looking at the BIG screen and hold up your NASCAR related – Ron Paul signs.

The When, Where, and What to Wear.
• When: On the Monday before your tracks race, Speedtv.com will update their “SPEED Stage” show times for that weekend’s event. Go here for that page. But also check Speed Channel’s broadcast schedule for “AIR TIMES” so you can tape them for your own group’s Ron Paul YouTube inspiration video. Print these times out for other members.
• Where: The SPEED Stage should be outside of the track, so NO Ticket Required!!! Look for a colorful sea of souvenir trailers by the track’s main entrance into the gate and look up for a rotating NASCAR Speed Channel tower. See your local tracks official website for maps and parking. Which is usually free on track owned lots. We used the Freedom Wagon as a central point to regroup between shows. See their Post Race News Updates here…
Charlotte Race - Martinsville Race

• What to Wear: NASCAR cloths if possible. Fans respond better to fans, then political supporters. This just takes a hat or t-shirt. Souvenir trailers will be right by the stage.
• NOTES:
1. Be polite and wear a smile – if you are pushy with your signs you WILL get tossed. NASCAR fans are the nicest of people, just keep in mind this is their vacation.
2. Signs that worked were about 2’x3’ cardboard backed for support against wind, on about a 5’ stick, with Nascar related Ron Paul messages on both sides. Big and bold, short and sweet works best. (Examples in both NASCAR Albums here)

3. Leaflet cars – during the race.
Kind of a no brainer here. Once the race has started load up on leaflets and
put one under every car wiper blade you car.
We had 4 guys and got out over 3000 in a few hours, and that’s with a beer in one hand.

4. Ron Paul roadside/over-pass banners.
If you can get banners up on overpasses, roadsides, or wherever.
Get them up early so race fans see them coming into and leaving the track.
Putting these banners up by the Speed Stage is NOT suggested
due too the Tracks Signage Fees and just plain old pushing your luck.
We tried this at Charlotte and where respectfully asked to remove these.

5. Decorate your vehicle.
Just adds another name recognition opportunity for Ron Paul.
Shoe polish works good on windows and comes off with a flat razor.

6. Pre-race and Post-race sign waves at entrances.
This can be done most efficiently at the gates as they leave for their cars,
not at the street exits due to safety, (unless you go down the road a bit and then post up).
If vehicles were fliered, then you don’t have to hand anything out unless asked.
Sign waving the gates just give them one last reminder to think,
“Who’s Ron Paul”, before they get the answer on their windshields.

7. Have Fun!!!!!
Being Patriotic couldn’t be any more fun. There are places to buy food, however,
I’d bring a camcorder, or camera, trail mix, beef jerky,
cold water and canned beer (optional).
Oh, and don’t forget your leaflets. Thousands are needed.
