Does anyone of any good articles or thoughts on how private property rights can prevent and/or protect against air pollution and how those property rights would realistically be enforced against violators? I'm having a little trouble comprehending this one.

It's really not that hard to find a bunch of articles on air pollution and RP if you use the right terms. I used Ron Paul + Environment + Air Polliution. Hope the links help.

Also, I always like to use this when talking with those who are very concious of the environment.

The US Military is the world's largest polluter.

If you want a free market based environmental group, check out PERC http://www.perc.org/

For the people who are skeptical about property rights always delivering the most efficient economic outcome (such as myself), just look to a peer-reviewed economic journal. One of my professors is the editor of the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, but I honestly have never read it, nor do I know if it is free to the public. They also have a sister journal, the Review of Environmental Economics and Policy which might be a little more up your ally.
