I am in charge of creating a slide show that will play before the Atlas Shrugged movie with an audience of about 300 hosted by the local Tea Party. Does anyone have suggestions for some liberty songs that would be good background music?

E.S. Posthumus has some GREAT (mostly orchestrated) tunes. Some extremely uplifting tracks attributed to themes such as fighting for freedom, having hope, etc.

Here's one called "Arise":

The following people are not only Liberty musicians, but they are working hard to expand Liberty ideas.

Jordan Page: Friend of mine and one of the most talented musicians in the Liberty movement.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bitxwy6okn4

Steve Dore: Ate lunch with him at the Rally for the Republic and sang one of my favorite songs for Ron Paul 2008.
http://www.youtube.com/user/RonPaulSongs#p/u

Pokerface: Ate dinner with them after our event in Clearwater, FL in 2007 called the Ron Paul Road Rally.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgJRi3WjTs0

Knights of Liberty: Talked to them a few times and helped with our Orlando Debate event in 2007
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RiosZ43hNI

Aimee Allen: I don't know her, but she sang at the Rally for the Republic.

And I am sure I am missing some people. I will post when I think of them.

Serf Song by Look What I Did from Atlas Drugged produced by Brian Virtue(Deftones, Jane's Addiction, Chevelle)

Look What I Did (http://ihatelookwhatidid.blogspot.com)
House of Cards - 2003
http://lookwhatidid.bandcamp.com/track/house-of-cards
lyrics
"'Open the deck
Fingernails in the plastic, gently, gently, gently
Careful not to damage the plastic makes perfect makes perfect
Makes structures such perfect
Piles and Piles of
The architecture, arts and leisure, whores and beggers, beg for better
A gust of wind can erase the foundation, the patience, the effort is wasted on making
Piles and Piles of
Kings, Queens, 2's, 3s, how fragile all these things
It takes such flimsy parts to make a House of Cards
Carefully balancing intricate curvature gently, gently, gently
The six and the jack are now buckling under the pressure
The King is such corpulent heavy
Piles and Piles of
The weight and measure, trash and treasure, pain and pleasure
obtuse gets the pressure
Form against function a swaying impression
a contractor paid with his sweat for the measure of
piles and piles of
All this grand presentation
Colors, fine decoration
Built to please
Piece by piece
Makes no matter
Shortly after
A King and pauper, lead to slaughter, fertilize the ground
your life is, too fragile, to balance on"

There used to be a Wiki page in here on liberty music. It was a great reference. it may be still available.

I got two suggestions.

Gotta have Freebird. That song inspires a whole generation. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4Yz7zIfJmY

Also, in the last election the Dead strongly supported Obama and did entire shows where they dedicated their entire take to his campaign. But I have seen over 200 Dead shows and I can tell you all flat out that there is a huge number of us who are libertarian/conservative so I would want to see one of their songs co-opted for Deadheads for Ron Paul

US Blues.

I have parents with a recording studio and I have natural talent. Would any one here, IF you liked my so far fictional music, help chip in for ad's or travel to rallies? And help me write a song that sound good and could become popular quick? I'm taking a piano class over the summer and (possibly*) would need your help and support. So would you help out?
