Maybe I'm off my rocker... but didn't Ron Paul have 70 votes on this straw poll? Now he has 84? Anybody know whats going on?

The percentages are the same, regardless. I didn't check what the numbers were when I first looked, but the actual % of votes has definitly not changed from what it was when UA first posted the results here.

I am a Meetup organizer in Utah, and I think we could use a Paul / Romney comparison flyer. I think we could change voters minds quickly with that approach.

yeh, this was the numbers showed the other day: Mitt Romney 1042 (80.46%) | Ron Paul 70 (5.41%) | Rudy Giuliani 57 (4.40%) | John McCain 54 (4.17%)

now look at the numbers! Ron Paul went up some.

I called the Utah GOP and the person who answered was very helpful.

He said the spreadsheet printout that the web admins received was printed with the last column cut off on one end and one row cut off the horizontal end.

For some reason the results were printed with a landscape setting. This resulted in the text running off the page and it was not noticeable when they first posted the results.

i know the format on the site changed, but how did the results change? the numbers are different all together.

I found a blog that did this very well, written by a mormon guy no less, who was very anti-Mitt.

Um, try google blog searching for Ron Paul Mitt Romney latter day christian or something like that.

There were votes cut off on the spreadsheet that were on the last row so they were not tallied up by the web admins correctly.

ah ok. now it is making sense. well, his percent of the vote did go up slightly. he had some back row supporters there too.

It's always a 'computer' problem. :D (I work in IT...)

Does anyone have some idea as to what issues are important to Utah voters? I don't think they can be pegged as simply willing to vote for one of their co-religionists to the detriment of their interests.

Utah has a lot of Mormon's in the state.... so that will help favor Mitt
