A little something to add to the conversation with those "Ewww... a Republican" folks, perhaps?

Since NEVAH! and frankly I hate the fact that I had to register R to vote in the primary. But it's ok, I'll deal.

Since GWB in 2000. But then I'm only 27, so I've only had two chances. I voted libertarian in 2004.

Now I'm glad to not call myself a "Republican", but a "Ron Paul Republican".

I registered Republican originally during the end of Reagan's term, but I have never voted Republican for President. Somewhere along the way my party affiliation disappeared in the system, which I was just fine with. "Undisclosed" is pretty much the way I've felt for a long, long time. But, I'm proud to have changed my party affilitation to Republican this time around, for the sole purpose of voting for Ron Paul in the Primaries.

Wow! 63%+ = "never"?

I wonder if the GOP cares.

those people are so far brainwashed!
They will vote for a black man or a white woman before they actually vote for a presidential candidate.

meaning they don't even know the issues they're voting on or their candidates stance. Just voting for "change" and "history".

they have been manipulated! And I often tell them that in a better way and it makes them think twice about ti.
especially when they don't even know the stances.

Given how many young people are involved with Ron Paul and especially this forum, it's too bad we can't correlate with their ages.

Some of us have voted for decades. Some of these kids are poll virgins. So the results don't give a very accurate picture.

Good point. I was real surprised to see 65% saying never, but since alot never have voted before, I guess it's not a surprise.

Never ever EVER. Generally republicans make me sick to my stomach. I've only been able to vote twice though. The first time in 2004 for Kerry and then second for the 2006 mid-term elections.

I voted for GHWB in 1988 because I was still a fundamental Christian and I felt obligated because.... because... well, just because. I voted for Perot in '92 and then I gave up.

I was 17 in 2000, so I was unable to Vote. If I had been, I would have voted for Bush......But I wised up in 2004 and voted for Badnarik.

I wonder why people didn't like Gore in 2000. I was only 14 at the time so I couldn't vote but I was definitely pulling for him.

This poll makes me smile. Over three-fourths or Ron Paul supporters are never polled as "likely Republican voters."

We are going to whoop ass.

when Colin Powell was going to run against Clinton in 96 i registered as republican, this is the only other time i've registered as a republican. I would never in a 1000 years vote for Giuliani, Romney, Huckabee or Thompson. I liked the old McCain. The current McCain I just feel sad for. If it wasn't for Paul I'd be working to help Obama, Kucinich, or Edwards derail Hillary.
