That is what I would be thinking and saying if I were a conservative right now.

They'll either have to kill him, or endorse him.

In a tug-o-war Ron Paul will win over Gary Johnson.

Then he'll split the vote.

To get a conservative in office: Ron Paul is key.

They are DAMN sure paying attention to us this time!!!! From the FOX NEWS article: "Paul’s blessing of a candidate could be a make-or-break moment late in the race. No one, not even Sarah Palin, may have more to say about whom the Republicans nominate than Paul." http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011...s-haley-quits/ (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/04/26/gop-field-shapes-paul-plays-haley-quits/)

That should be his slogan. Ron Paul is the key.

Not necessarily (though it depends on your definition of conservative).

If Romney runs, T-Paw runs, Giuliani runs, and lots of other "moderates" run and the only "conservative" is either Palin or Huckabee (ESPECIALLY Huckabee, actually), then the lone conservative will easily dart ahead and win regardless of what Ron Paul has to say about it, especially if Gary Johnson is running a decent campaign.

On the other hand, Ron COULD find himself playing kingmaker for the conservatives near the end of the race if he did good but not great, but then it would almost certainly be a choice between two crooks (say, Huckster and Bachmann). The only Republican I would even consider supporting outside of Ron Paul and Johnson would be Daniels, and that is a HUGE maybe.
