I bet a silver eagle it will be the exploratory committee that is announced. The 'official' announcement can and should be played out longer

Either that, or he'll announce that his old house sold. Or maybe that he has a killer new bicycle.
The 'official' announcement can and should be played out longer
Absolutely right.

Good place to start and I understand he's announcing his campaign team for Iowa as well.
The big question which faces us, how do we balance what we want to for the campaign itself on our own or with a few people with working with the main campaign itself? Unlike four years ago, when there really was no state by state campaign to start out with, we'll have a team on the ground in Iowa well before the straw poll. Yet there are lot of people with projects they want to go ahead with in Iowa. How do we coordinate and work together so we're not duplicating our efforts? It's going to take so give and take. The national campaign cannot be so paranoid about communicating with local grassroots and the grassroots has to take some direction from the main campaign at least within a broad framework.

It occurs to me what a brilliant timing strategy this is.
Today he is getting great media exposure for his book. he announces late tomorrow and can get coverage on the evening cable news programs, then morning shows on Wednesday.
To be eligible for the debate he must have announced his exploratory committing by Friday. With every channel covering the Royal Wedding Thursday and Friday an announcement then would have gone unnoticed.
Awesome thinking to not announce today during already scheduled shows and get a secnd boost in the same week.

Agreed. So do you think this means he has a more professional campaign team this time? I'm sure hoping that's what it means.

+Rep. I did not consider the Royal Wedding. Brilliant.

Everyone, PLEASE submit comments and/or recommend comments on the USA Today article. If Drudge links to it, then a high percentage of the insane traffic that follows will select the "Most Reccomended" feature within the comments. If pro-RP posts are at the top, we can educate a lot of readers about Ron's platform and his electability. I posted something 30 minutes ago, and already got 6 reccomends, so there are a few of us over there now. The more the merrier.

Dave Weigel on RP 2012: (http://www.slate.com/BLOGS/blogs/weigel/archive/2011/04/25/ron-paul-will-announced-presidential-exploratory-committee-tomorrow.aspx)
I've confirmed that Rep. Ron Paul, R-Tex., will announce his presidential exploratory committee tomorrow in Des Moines. At the same time, according to a source close to Paul, he will announced his Iowa leadership team, which will include three of the 19 members of the Iowa Republican Party's state central committee.
This will be Paul's third presidential bid, and his second as a Republican candidate. When I talked to Gary Johnson about his own presidential bid (when was the last time there were two libertarian candidates in a GOP presidential race?), he dismissed the idea that Paul would stop him from getting momentum, and said he'd studied Paul's 2008 campaign to learn how to improve on it. But Paul's done that, too. He ran a fairly low-key campaign in 2008 (the enthusiasm of his crowds besides), hitting the trail far less than the frontrunning candidates. There were multiple reasons for that, and one of them was Paul's reluctance to miss any votes in Congress. Congress, under GOP rule, has a somewhat lighter schedule now.
Here's video of Paul, 28 years ago, debating a Fed governor on fiat money. Go ahead and try to find a more consistent candidate.

Good!
And how many candidates announce an exploratory committee but never actually formally run?
Either way, I'm super excited! :D

Here's how to quickly and efficiently counter the "too old" charge:
1) Medical doctor
2) Both parents lived into their 90s
3) Health and exercise addict; much of his younger staff say they have trouble keeping up with him
