"The FBI has officially issued 40 arrest warrants for members of Anonymous in American. Not only is the United States taking this case seriously, but the UK as well, who already has some of the members in custody."

Do they know who they are? Or are they just issuing 40 warrants with anonymous on them.

Thank god for the Patriot Act, now the criminal FBI can just write their own search/arrest warrants.

...and all 40 happen to have wirless routers without a password

Lying on his family room floor with assault weapons trained on him, shouts of "pedophile!" and "pornographer!" stinging like his fresh cuts and bruises, the Buffalo homeowner didn't need long to figure out the reason for the early morning wake-up call from a swarm of federal agents.

That new wireless router. He'd gotten fed up trying to set a password. Someone must have used his Internet connection, he thought.

Good luck with that, anon are ghosts, and these guys couldn't even find Osama Bin Laden, despite the fact that they knew exactly what he looked like and where he was.

Either that, or we are about to get a glimpse of how wired the feds are into everything. eg: echelon.

Naw, It will be a huge annoyance to some.Possibly expensive to a few.
In the end it will be a huge waste of money and resources that accomplish nothing.

This.
If the federal government was really that wired into everything, that would be proof that it's good at something.
We know better than to assume that.
Besides, if they were that wired, lots of us here would already be wearing a mop wig in the rape cage at this point. The ones that weren't just offed in front of our families, that is.

True that. So far as I can tell, the Feds on the internet are seriously incompetent. They can trace an IP or two and send out a cease and desist order, but actually catching someone who really puts some effort into it? Not very likely.

I'm confident that there are many small, well funded geniuses that can do amazing things for the Feds. The overall governing of the people is not their highest priority and they leave that up to bunglers.

Yup, I wouldn't get too cocky. They may very well be wired in better than most know. And "anonymous" may have finally gone far enough where they are willing to tip their hand as to what they are capable of.

They do realize that anonymous isnt. . . a real organization. . . right?

Anonymous may not be entirely anonymous. A security firm called HB Gary claims to have identified a couple dozen of the ringleaders and many of the 300 or so rank and file. HB Gary may have been working with the FBI.

HB Gary paid a price for that.

Hmm..the real question is, is anonymous strong enough to take on the federal government?
