That's a great message the hecklers were sending.... they'll vote for Obama no matter what because he's not a Republican, but free Bradley Manning, where's the change we asked for, ladadadada.. :(

As the protesters sang, the pool report notes that Obama turned to Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who represents San Francisco, to ask if she was responsible for the interruption. "Nancy, did you do this?" he reportedly asked. Her look said she did not, according to the report.

Nancy, keep them in line next time. No dissent.

I lived in San Francisco for a bit. They all claim to be "open minded" and "intelligent", but it's all nonsense- most voters there vote in lock step with whoever the latest democrat running is. There's no diversity of opinion allowed, because, of course, if you don't vote for a D then why, you MUST BE AN EVIL REPUBLICAN!

Like Nancy gives a rats @$$ about the treatment of Bradley Manning. I wonder why Obama would even look at her suspecting she had anything to do with it. What a joke, huh??

Of course I disagree with how Bradley Manning is being treated, but c'mon. "We will vote for you in 2012, just look at the Republicans" Ignorant fools deserve every bit of misfortune that comes their way if they turn a blind eye to the true candidates for the American people. This is probably in FAVOR of Obama if anything. It sends the message "hey look these people want to free Bradley Manning and are STILL voting for Obama in 2012. So if you disagree with the president's actions, don't change your vote, just join us in disagreement yet vote for him next year anyway." Morons.

Why act out against something, yet not let it effect your view on the person doing such a hideous thing. Why wouldn't that drive you to search for a candidate whom wouldn't do ridiculous things like that. It wouldn't take long for sane people to do research and come to the conclusion that Ron Paul is our only hope this election.

The protesters said they had spent $5,000 donating to Obama. "We'll vote for you in 2012, yes that's true. Look at the Republicans--what else can we do?" they reportedly chanted.

"We paid our dues. Where's our change?" they sang.

Too bad ProgressivesforPaul was not there. He could have sang another line:

We'll vote for you in 2012, yes that's probably true. Look at the Republicans--what else can we do? Unless there is a r(evol)ution soon, then that'll change our tune.

Of course, that last line would probably have been followed by screams and shouts - something along the lines of "don't tase me, bro" as the Secret Service suddenly decided the protesters were threats.

Where was all this righteous indignation over civil liberties in SF when John Dennis was running for Nancy's seat?
