ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - BREAKING NEWS: Orlando Police is investigating a tasing incident that left one man dead at Universal Studios. Sgt. Barbara Jones with Orlando Police said the incident unfolded around 12 a.m. Friday morning when two Orlando Police officers working off duty at Universal, were called by Universal Studios Security in reference to an unruly person.
They responded to the incident because Universal's Security said the man was acting irrational in front of Universal Cinemax Theaters. They say when one of the officer's attempted to restrain the individual, who turned out to be 32-year old, Adam Spencer Johnson he began to violently resist.
One officer deployed their ECD (a tasing device) and then handcuffed Johnson, however, while on the ground they said Johnson became unresponsive. Officers began CPR and the Orlando Fire Department responded.
The Johnson was transported to Dr. Philips Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Right now, The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating.
All officers involved will be placed on administrative leave and Internal Affairs has been notified as a standard procedure.
