Considering tax day is tomorrow....

This is part of why I was against having a "Tax Day Protest" -related Money Bomb. Tax Day is stretched out and ambiguous this year. The protests were on a Friday for the most part, and people were scrambling to get their taxes done last-minute. This shocked me, since I didn't know people actually did that and were so ill-prepared, but at least at my job people were scrambling around for extra copies of W-2's and confirming mileage rates and the like.

Tomorrow, as usual, the post offices will be packed, but I wonder how many people just mailed things out on Saturday instead?

In the meantime, all of this means smaller audiences and less focus on the IRS raping the bejeezus out of us.

Good point. I guess I was thinking a lot of the protests would occur on the weekend. Plus the 15th is traditional. Hopefully Monday will rock and roll!

This. Them declaring it to be Monday kind of undermined the already planned events. Some that were developing in LA didn't end up happening Friday, and I haven't heard that they were rescheduled for tomorrow.

Thing is, people aren't hot angry about taxes so much as spending.

True as well.

I think people do want taxes to not go up (a given), but this time you hear such a plan followed by "they need to cut spending before they ask for more money" or something similar.

Baby steps.

Minnesota had two inches of snow on April 16. That might have kept a few people away.

The big rally for Minnesota is on May 7. Less chance of a snow storm. http://www.taxcutrally.com/

The news lies. The First Coast Tea Party (Jacksonville Florida) had over 2000 people attend, but the local news reported "only a few hundred attended". Their website now has 6114 members, and grows by several members daily.
