This is a tiny site, it seems, but it has candidates and NOT Ron, but a space where you can vote for 'other' and fill in who other is.

Thank you for voting!

you know we dont have to win every poll. Also Ron Paul is definitely not a dark horse especially with him polling in double digits in the majority of the polls

We really do. They will do their best to marginalize Ron again as a candidate that isn't serious. Winning every poll, straw poll etc. will keep his name in the ever-present public consciousness and build a winning image. It's going to take everything we have to beat the Establishment. We have to be loud enough (in a polite way) that they can NOT ignore us.

To me, Rand's victory was a stepping stone to a Paul presidency... but he's doing a pretty amazing job in the Senate too. :D

Couldn't agree more, spamming every online poll in Ron Paul's favor is just going to antagonize members of the conservative base we need to win over in order to get the nomination.

I can imagine some people telling themselves something like "this Ron Paul guy makes a lot of sense, but he has all those annoying internet people spamming his name everywhere, so there must be something wrong with him".

Umm... This is a "darkhorse" poll, guys. No real reason to be mad at them for considering RP a top tier candidate, is there?

66 votes most of them coming from this site... not much value in that.

21 votes distributed amongst various named candidates, and 72 for an unnamed “other”. Hmmm, I wonder what explains that. LOL.

Gee, if they had us write the name in the box, why not display them in the results?

I agree with several posters in this thread who pointed out that Ron is a top tier candidate this time around. Putting him in that poll would have been insulting.

So looks like about 80% of the people who voted in this poll of 130 are members of this forum... and about 20 people found this poll not through this forum... sweet.

Can anyone explain to me the value of spamming random polls on websites no one goes to?

The main reaction is probably indifference but I think you're a lot more likely to annoy someone than convert them with these sorts of actions.

Maybe they'll think they shouldn't have left off the Gov. of WI or "that guy Ryan"?
Naw, they'll know who was voting Other, right? Do we have a "Poll" thread to put these in? We could have separate threads to talk about them, but it would be one-stop shopping, so to speak, for those so inclined.
