Let's harness the power we already have on internet to demand national talk show hosts (such as the Jay Leno appearance) to have RP on their shows! They have extensive viewers & it's free publicity. Simply click the links below & fill out the email forms. If they get even a couple hundred requests for him, you can bet they won't ignore it. Feel free to add a comment if you have links to more!

You can do that, except Oprah. She is very, very committed to Obama. Maybe after the primaries are over, but I can guarantee she won't have any other candidate on the show. How do I know that? Because that's what she said!

Well I sent it to Oprah anyway. If she gets hundreds of thousands of requests, she can't ignore them, no matter who she prefers. Those are viewers speaking, and viewers = profits. Gotta keep 'em happy. :)

Coast to Coast AM -- a late night/early morning radio talk show heard by 5M to 10M listeners nightly. Lot of truckers listen. They have had Ron Paul on in the past.

as for being on Dr. Phil, RP is a Dr. and he has an Rx for the nation's ills, most of which are caused by MENTAL problems! (i.e. the leaders were sick in the head!)

You can find a link to an enormous media contact list below in my signature (if you have trouble please reply here). However we have to target one show at a time to make an impact. Regional TV stations and regional radio shows would be much more receptive to interview/story requests than big network shows like Letterman.

I want to start a site in which supporters can subscribe for daily emails alerting them of the show that we will all flood that day. I will provide the necessary contact information.

Good idea?

Minor coordinating efforts of minor active efforts utilising a force that no other campaign has or can copy, for major results? GREAT idea!

But I think you should take it one step further: One day of coordinated emailing can easily be ignored. They can simply write it off as being a coordinated effort, not really reflective of their audience (which may well be the case), and tough it out for 24 hours. I think we need to develop a list of target media, and then just work our way through it, perhaps on a few fronts at a time. Focusing our efforts - non-stop - until they relent, and give him some decent coverage. Emails streaming in, CONSTANTLY!! Not spamming. Not nasty in any way. Just polite, original (ie non-form) emails requesting that they put RP on. And then following up on that request, day after day, after day... Like a hurricane tide-surge slapping against a shorefront, eroding their resistance day by day until eventually they give up!

I know numerous people that have been given jobs this way, by being too courteous to be rude too, but by being PERSISTENT to the point of being annoying.

why would you send to Montel, Rachel Ray, or Dr. Phil? They are not the right type of show for a presidential candidate.

I think any more than 4 relentless days of flooding would get us blowback. Lets say we flooded one radio show and did it for eleven days straight. If no coverage results after 3 days they don't want to do it. This would probably lead to a 110% hit piece. Also I will strongly suggest that only polite messages are acceptable.

Of course I have never made a website before. Any tips about web hosting?

If no coverage results after 3 days they don't want to do it.

So you suggest we just give up after three days because "they don't want to do it"? That's the point. That's what happens with the main stream media all the time. If we persist, politely, then there will come a time when they have to buckle, just to stop it.

This would probably lead to a 110% hit piece.
I think they will have got an idea about possible blowback from all the polite emails coming in. Why would they wilfully tug a tiger's tail?

What I'm suggesting might be like making a polite request, then politely following up a week later on that request, and following up every week thereafter. Consider:

RPer1 - Contact ShowA on Monday; ShowB on Tuesday; .... ; ShowG on Sunday
Followup ShowA the next Monday; followup ShowB the next Tuesday; ... Followup ShowG the next Sunday, etc.

But to spread the days, and not appear as though one person is being rude:

RPer2 - Contact ShowG on Monday; ShowA on Tuesday; ... ; ShowA on Sunday
Followup ShowG the next Monday; followup ShowA the next Tuesday; ... Followup ShowA the next Sunday, etc.

and

RPer3 - Contact ShowF on Monday; ShowG on Tuesday; ... ; ShowE on Sunday
Followup ShowF the next Monday; followup ShowG the next Tuesday; ... Followup ShowE the next Sunday, etc.

Each request/followup would only take 2-3 minutes of action per person, per day, but if, say, 5,000 were doing this then each Show A-F would receive ~700 emails per day politely requesting that they put Dr Paul on. How could they resist...for long?

But I also think we should provide some carrot with this ever-so-soft "stick". When they concede, and put RP on, we should send 'thank you's to them *and their advertizers*.
