Ron said on an interview that it was highly unlikely Robert would want to run. I think the media just asked if he'd ever thought about it, and he's honest, and how could he NOT have thought about it? With no intention of doing anything any time soon.

However, Rand is right, the time is right, right now. Not that Robert needs to run, but he may be passing up an opportunity. The difference is Rand kinda always planned to run SOMEDAY, he was just waiting until his kids were out of high school.
