Or if they haven't yet they will. Haha Brilliant

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/onpolitics/post/2011/04/ron-paul-house-sale-texas-facebook-/1

House for sale by owner in Lake Jackson, Texas: 4 BR/5BA, home ofc, swimming pool, great landscaping.

The owner? Texas congressman and GOP presidential hopeful Ron Paul.

Paul has posted an advertisement for his house on his Facebook page, complete with pictures of that "great in-ground swimming pool."

The note says that "generations of liberty-loving kids have grown up here and you can continue the tradition." Paul and his wife, Carol, raised five children in the home, including Kentucky's freshman GOP senator, Rand Paul.

Also touted: Paul's home office with "built-in shelving," a space that the obstetrician-gynecologist used for 42 years.

Paul's spokesman Jesse Benton said the congressman and his wife recently built a new house. Thanksgiving dinner at the Paul household was a little cramped last year, boasting 42 people at the table. Carol Paul wanted a house with enough room to fit the five children, 18 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and spouses.

Thanks to our colleague Jackie Kucinich for pointing out this item.

Wow, he's asking for only $325,000 for it. Not a bad deal at all.

We should have all chipped in and bought it, to preserve as a historical site for our next President.

why would realtors freak out about this?

I'm assuming because of the FB promotion of the sale, instead of using a realtor. But in the article it doesn't say a realtor wasn't used, I don't think.

I sold my home in Florida Online. inside a month.

I found my present Home online (listed by a realtor) and bought it as my home was selling.

Worked well for me.

Wow. I was wondering why he'd sell it. Are there pictures of the new house anywhere?

Only $325K for 5,500 sq. ft??? If I was able I'd seriously consider making an offer! I'll bet this house sells for $400K or more. I hope it ends up in the hands of a RP supporter.

I wonder what other liberty giants have been there, probably Murray Rothbard, Lew Rockwell, Tom Woods, etc.?

As a realtor I think the person who choose the title for this thread is an idiot. Ron Paul fixes leak under sink "plumber community freaks out". Sorry I just needed to get that off my chest.

Here's another article in the Houston Press ... talk about not having to pay for ads!!

Mind you, these particular snots don't seem to be all that fond of him...and think the home office was used for gynecology......

. . .
Worked well for me.

Same here - sold a house in Simi Valley listed through an online company -
they had it full MLS # listed and put a sign up in the front yard.

With the MLS listing all the buyers/realtors came to me -
the online company got a point and a half (1.5%) - less than a realtor would have gotten,
so I could rationalize to buyers a better price for my side -
so I sold the place at a good price to a couple moving from Germany staring a business.

A win - win for all in my opinion - but I guess some local realtor did lose a sale.

Yes, yes it does. But like I said, it doesn't specify that a realtor wasn't being used as well.

Moneybomb for liberty timeshare. No need for a museum I'm thinking liberty parties. LOL.

100 for 1 bedroom for one night per year + annual fee for upkeep based on fractional ownership.

I wonder if he would discount the price if the buyer paid in Gold?

Just think, you would probably get a personal tour by them.

Ron really is humble. Someone with his wealth could afford a lot more

Hey I thought we were all on the same team ;) But lets be real because real estate agents, with time, will go the way of the milk man. The internet is too powerful and Ron is popularizing another way to make the trading of houses and land more efficient and cost-effective. :p

I would absolutely participate in this money-bomb! We could use the house for numerous activities! (Haha step brothers reference!)

But really this idea is funny but could actually be helpful!

Wonkette is having far too much fun with this:

The comments are funny though:

Does it have a nuclear bunker filled with stuck together Ayn Rand novels and a hydroponics system with Aqua Buddha stickers on it, you know, for growing tomatoes.

That was simply vulgar, with no wit about it. I'd break the link. That doesn't deserve traffic.
