Hey everyone,

Today is my birthday (and Thomas Jefferson's — woot!)

The Leadership Institute is hosting is critically acclaimed Campaign Manager School the first week of May. Over 500 state representatives are graduates of the Leadership Institute's programs. Countless others work in areas of public policy and the media. With your help, I will be equipped with the knowledge and tools that will help me propel our ideas to electoral victory.

The normal cost is $250, but thanks to early registration and a YAL promo code, I am able to attend for just $100. Gas & parking will cost about $260, but I already budget in $60/week for gas. I will be able to attend this amazing 5 day class for only $300.

As many of you know, I have been very active in the movement over the years. Here is a brief list of my activities over the years (this was also posted in my CPAC thread).

Ron Paul's Christmas Vacation in Iowa for students
Co-organized a large Meetup in Northern Indiana
Started a Meetup for my own county
I sold my Wii (that I waited in line for 12 hours for ) to go volunteer at the Rally for the Republic
Started a YAL Chapter at my high school
Got featured on the front page of my local newspaper twice for YAL related activities
I am a two-time delegate to my state's Republican Convention
I organized the first vacation event for Rand, called Rand Paul's Summer Vacation in the summer of 2009. We reached approximately 5,000 voters with a small team of dedicated volunteers & professional lit.
I am currently creating a fairly detailed guide on how to become a delegate from each state.

Your generous contribution will help ensure that I am able to make it to the prestigious Campaign Manager School and advance liberty in 2012 and beyond.

Thanks.

P.S.
Although the ChipIn will fill up at $300, I would love an extra $70 as a birthday present so I fly instead of drive! :D Cheers

In for $200. Happy Birthday!

PM me if you think you'll have schedule available for dinner one night or over a weekend, I'm in Maryland and just getting back into political action. I just found the Leadership Institute last week and missed their direct mail course, so would love to know how worthwhile their courses are so I can plan to attend the next one.

My contribution is given on the condition that when we eventually ask you to be the state coordinator for Indiana for RP 2012, you say yes.

Edit: Happy birthday.

Wow! Thanks everyone for your help, it means a lot. When I logged into PayPal today I actually said "Wow!"

After PayPal fees, I have around $270. I'm hoping for another $100 so I can fly in, but I can definitely make it with just another $30. :)

Hey Krippy! I can't donate right now, but as a fellow young person I want to say thank you for everything you've done for the movement! And your experience at such an age is truly inspiring! Thank you again.

Best of luck with your trip!

There are over 150 persons reading "General Politics" right now...

Any of you care to kick in a few bucks to help someone who has been working hard for liberty in general and Ron Paul in particular? :)

Krippy was also a great help out at the Lawson campaign here in NC-4. If I wasn't a fellow poor college student, I'd help chip in.

One last "Krippy Trippy" bump for the night.

Anyone? Anyone?

A couple more modest donations will let him fly to the CM school!

And report on what you're going to do with your skills.

I have a feeling this isn't the last campaign training school you attend, and I'm excited to see where it all leads for you.

Not to derail the thread, but this is an example of how RP's 2008 campaign brought about a lot of good, most of it still tucked away in places that will bear most of their fruit in years to come. I wonder how many of those young people who supported RP in 2008 were influenced in major decisions about what they would do with their lives through that experience. I bet it's a lot. We really have to get away from the philosophy that says, "This next election is our one last hope. Forget long term investments designed to change things 20 years from now. We have to go all in now, or we might as well give up." At the end of the day, it's going to have been those long term investments that will have made the biggest difference.

Absolutely!

Dr. Paul has inspired an entire generation. Win or lose in '12, I believe the political seeds he has sown over the past several years will be his true and ultimate legacy.
