View Full Version : Obama and Democrats proposing tax increases (so-called reform)

Anyone catching Obama's speech right now? During this phony "government shutdown crisis", the Democrats have been talking about "tax reform". Is tax law typically changed at the same time as the budget? Should it be?

Obama is throwing out the same old nonsense that Warren Buffet doesn't need a tax break. Maybe Buffet should just donate as much money as he wants to government. Who is stopping him?

Of course all of Obama's proposals about "simplifying" taxes are just lies. He also talks about increasing taxes on individuals, and possibly lowering taxes on corporations. During Congressional hearings with tax experts, all of the experts said that ultra-rich people (like Buffet) use corporations as tax shelters. So what Obama is proposing will result in Buffet paying even less taxes. Obama gives us a problem, and proposes a solution that makes it even worse.

There is no doubt that the tax code is a convoluted mess that is in severe need of simplification, but these proposals will only result in increased taxes on individuals in the middle class, and reduced taxes on the ultra-rich Oligarchy that pulls Obama's strings.

Should the tax code be revamped during a budget crisis? Obviously that will only have one outcome - increased taxes on the middle class.

He makes it sound as if the 'wealthy' in this country are people who are simply given money for nothing, they take the money and just swim in it like this guy.

my favorite line regarding higher taxes for the wealthy was "I think most wealthy Americans would agree with me. They want to support the country. A country that has given them so much." GIVEN them so much? The entire framework of economics is so screwed up in Washington you can't fix one problem without discovering 3 more.

Same liberal propaganda talking about what people "need" or "deserve" as if they are any kind of authority on it. The fact is Obama has not created one drop of wealth in this country his entire life. He has made money using the governments coercion his whole life.

No one has ever benefited economically from engaging in trade with Obama or associating with him. As such he has not one clue what it takes to create wealth or what motivates people to do so. It really disgusts me when I see anyone talking about the fruits of another man's sweat and blood as if they were owed it...they are most certainly not owed anything.

If Obama cares so much about the little giuy(we all know he cares about government control and power) then he would have no let Goldman Sachs rape us for almost 4 years, and he would have not let his buddies in GE partner with the government to get tax breaks, or he would not support big unions.

...

With the obvious exceptions of JP Sachs and a whole variety of associated cronies... ;) Of course that is all wealth stolen from the middle class, it was not created.

Yea true, to be more specific he has never created wealth honestly without "acquiring it" via coercion, and then traded that honestly with another human being...in a mutually beneficial trade. Which of course is the cornerstone of free markets and a free and prosperous society.

George Carlin: "They're comin for it... They're comin for It All... Yah know what? They'll Get, because Americans willfully remain ignorant"

It's all BS on the DEM/GOP parties... every action they do in Washington DC is to Take More From Us and Take More Control Over Us. It's just different methods these charlatans use in stealing & Controlling.

I never heard a Democrat/Liberal/Progressive oppose the 33% Tax Hike on the lowest tax bracket, from 10% to 15%. Obama creates inflation with the massive debt, (Another Tax on all the People) steals from the poorest, and they almost all still support and vote for him.

You can't draw blood from a stone. They're racing towards unfixable insolvency. Last night, Neil Cavuto was arguing with this democratic congresswoman from Texas who insisted that we have to invest in innovation, education and infrastructure at whatever the cost. Raise taxes on the so-called "rich" now because all that matters is the present. Cavuto told her point blank if they raised the income tax 50% on the upper middle class and rich, you'd still be running a budget 700 billion in the red. Undeterred by fact, she said that the deficit wasn't accumulated in a day and that we have to pare it down year by year. These folks are intentionally obtuse.

Fact: If you believe in taxing the "rich" more than others you are a BIGOT and do not believe people are equal.

Leftists are incapable of giving away their money, they will only part with it if forced. This is why they are unable to understand the concept of charity, they think everyone is as selfish as they are. They think high taxes are good because they think everyone is like them and won't help anyone without it.
