A local Congresswoman is having a town hall meeting next week.

She has most people fooled into thinking she is a conservative, but here is her real voting record:

After quickly looking at her record what do you think I should ask her?

Ask how she can stand there in front of you and deny the Collins.

Other provisions would allow school personnel to discipline special education students the same as nondisabled students, reduce paperwork requirements for special education teachers, and limit parents’ ability to sue school districts.

...What a winner?

"Liberals always seem to think government has an endless supply of money for handouts and welfare programs, and some conservatives always seem to think government has an endless supply of money for war. With your voting record approving big government handouts like the Medicare Drug Program and your rubber stamping of any spending related to Iraq & Afghanistan, you seem like the worst of both worlds. I'd like to know why anyone who considers himself a fiscal conservative could possibly want you stay in office, especially in a time when our country is going bankrupt".

What do you personally tell your children (and/or grandchildren) about all the debt and deficits you voted in favor of while in Congress - which they will have to one day pay back?

(Yes, I know, corny - but it might put her on the spot.)

"How can you agree to $38.5 billion in cuts when we have a $1.8 trillion problem? We need to raise $14 trillion to pay off the debt, not ONLY lose $1.7 trillion per year."

Ask her is she any regrets about voting for the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit in 2006 which looks poised to eclipse the 1 trillion dollar mark.

Do you think taking the oath to the Constitution should be abolished, seeing how no one except a handful in Congress take it seriously?

Why does she feel compelled to spend your money on things you would never buy if the money were not taxed into her hands?

Ask her this:

Are you going to Sponsor Ron Paul's Candidacy?
Why or why not?

Ask her this:

Are you going to Sponsor Ron Paul's Candidacy?
Why or why not?

This really isn't the forum for that.

Hit her hard on the budget they keep kicking down the road. Arguing over $60 Billion when we need to cut $1.8 Trillion to keep from going into further debt.

Bring a friend or two and make sure they follow up with your question... Or if she begins to dodge it, they should interrupt her and keep her answer on topic. Discuss your strategy beforehand and anticipate her possible responses, and have you or your friends response ready.

"How, we as a country, survived 2001 with a federal budget of only $1.9 Trillion....and why going back to those spending levels now will spell doom for America?"

If she mentions the economy, retort with the dot-com bubble.

Edit: oops local congresswoman. nevermind.

She has most people fooled into thinking she is a conservative

Ask her why only the ebul liburals (and Ron Paul) have co-sponsored H.R.204, Congressional Pay Cut Act.

Ask her if she is willing to repeal medicare part D as a compromise to repealing Obamacare

If she comes with the Paul Ryan excuse that Medicare part D is efficient because it running at 25% lower than projected. Then you can counter by saying that it is still costing the country billions of dollars extra. And if that is true, would she support Obama care if it miraculously ran 25% below projected costs?

Serious question: What is your goal? Are you trying to get her answers to some of these shabby votes "on the record" in a public forum for use later? Or are you hoping to convince others in attendance that Rep. Blackburn isn't as conservative (except in a hawkish neocon way) as she likes to claim? Are you hoping to use your questions to attempt to bring her around to a Ron Paul type thinking?

It would be easier to construct questions if your objectives are clear... Just a thought.

Does she believe that taking money from someone without their consent by force is theft?

Remind her that she doesn't have your permission to take your money through taxes.

Did she vote for Health Care?

Did she vote for the Patriot Act extension?

Has she voted for an unbalanced budget in her terms?
How come congress is not forced to live within its means but we are?

"Would you sign a pledge to vote No on any budget bill that doesn't balance the total federal budget in 5 years or less?"
"Would you sign a pledge to vote No on any bill that provides funding that in any way helps or supports Obamacare or the implementation of Obamacare?"

war.

i'm sounding like a broken record, but this is such a simple concept and budget buster. formulate a question something along the lines of "since we are spending over $1 trillion to maintain our empire (or to fight 3 or more unpopular wars) this should be a lay-up. will you consider drastic cuts that can be achieved by ending these wars and bringing troops back home?"

if she questions the economic impact of bringing troops home just let her know that prostitutes and liquor stores will boost local economies :)

Tell her if she doesn't get control over the TSA, you're going to make sure she doesn't get re-elected.

Here's a fun one:

"Would you allow Germany, Israel, Japan, Saudi Arabia, or other allies to build bases and station troops on US soil in the name of mutual defense and optimized deployment capability, since we already have our brothers and sisters stationed and deployed there and at over 700 bases in 150 other countries around the world?"

Ha! Yeah, how about "How many times have you been allowed to bypass airport security, TSA groping, and nude body scanners when boarding an aircraft?"

After quickly looking at her record what do you think I should ask her?

1) Why she caved on the debt ceiling. (Continuing stoking the recent rift between her and Michael Delgiorno).

2) Why she supports taking away from Tennessee it's sovereign right to issue drivers licenses of its own choosing. (Her sponsorship of the PassID act)

Ask her what Rand said to ask in his last speech: Can you please keep your answer as concise as possible, is the United States Government going to spend more money this year than last year? Don't let her dance, repeat it if necessary.
