What is funny to me how Lincoln is portrayed over on the far left with the "Good" presidents and is painted as if he actually cares about the common man. Wow, quite a piece of propaganda. But it goes along with how the majority of people "Feel" their politics and don't "Think" them. Looking at some of the comments on Patriot Depot where this came from, they are saying things like "Seeing this picture brought tears to my eyes." That's because they are resting on their feelings, not their mind.

Well... we do know how Lincoln felt about certain melanin concentrations *cough*.

Forgotten guy is paler than forgetting guy.

See? Now you're gettin' it! He's family! That's why Kennedy cares :P

Who says the presidents on the left are the good ones???

Who says the presidents on the left are the good ones???

The ones with arms extended, as if to say "Hey! Look at this guy! What's wrong with you?!?"

In reality, it seems like they just chose the best-known presidents to be in the foreground, regardless of "greatness."

...and why is Lincoln so short?

He should have had all of the presidents, since and including Lincoln, stamping on the Constitution, but that would have been one hell of a game of Twister to try and paint :)

Boy I'm in a chipper mood this afternoon haha

Maybe he's saying, "What are you waiting for, burn that thing!"

Is that a revised version? I thought the original depicted the scrap of paper as the Constitution.

Men would have never been forgotten if they would have never succumbed to the lure of easy money and employer dependence. Personal responsibility is shifted from self to employer when one depends upon it for everything. Thus the unConstitutional and anti-capitalist laws were easily passed --- and as a result have plagued the nation.

If every man owned his on business life would be better for all.

Yep, I just blamed the victim. (Or victims grandparents)

TMike:D

edit: Is this why people despise Ron Paul supporters? Ha Ha

edit2: Explanation of my comment -- This painting places government as the keeper of men - not the other way around. It is that mindset that is to blame for the destruction of America.

Looks like that detail got fuzzed out when the image was saved for the web.

Oh THERE'S Clinton. He didn't show in the original, which cut off right at Obama.

I still giggle at the way Kennedy and Bush2 seem to be conspiring to push people over.

The history of past presidents gets rewritten and romanticized. On the other hand, wasn't Lincoln opposed to Central Banks?

You must have a small laptop like me. You can see the whole picture if you scroll to the right. Theres a scroll bar on my screen under the OP.

Whether the artist's details are exactly accurate, the picture still speaks to what's going on around us. It's a great piece. FWIW, Andrew Jackson should be way more prominent considering his battle to kill a previous central bank (Bank of the United States?). The Fed and its predecessors figure prominently in the decline of America.

Nope, not a small laptop... just missed the bar under the video since I was focused on the picture :)

I do like the picture and the symbolism and all. It's a start to get people talking, at least.
