I think Ventura only said that because the news reporter put a bad image of the Tea Party on. Ventura has a good point, though. Many "tea partiers" are simply partisan hacks who got in the game with the likes of the establishment.

I believe the Ron Paul tea partiers were in Boston, reenacting the original Tea party.
