I'm in the process of moving and just found a bag of several thousand Ron Paul 2008 slim jims. I have about 10-15 packages still wrapped in seran wrap. It doesn't feel right to throw them out but I can't think of any use for them either. Does anyone want some of them?

They do say 2008 on them at the top.

2012 sharpie

this ^^ particularly for things like the early debates and straw polls before we even have a campaign site to reference.

I cross out 08 and put 12. I then place one inside a magazine (old issue of Reason, Atlantic, Wired) and leave it in a bathroom or airport.

lol funny because I did find a real slim jim that must be about 10 years old. It's bent into a semi circle for some reason.

I would definitely take some and edit them for current use. I've been thinking about making my own but this would be so much easier...

Do NOT throw them away.

I will pay shipping and send you new 2012 items. I will add them to all orders as a free extra.

Interesting. I have a few boxes of extras as well, many still sealed.

Brandon or krippy: I do not know how these are packaged, but I will pay for you to ship me at least 500-1000. I will put them to good use and be very, very grateful for it!

Ok, so why do you guys have boxes of leftover campaign literature from 2008? I can perhaps see a few pieces here and there, but boxes? Why weren't these distributed when they should have been? Seems like a big waste of campaign resources, hopefully there will be less of this in 2011-12. And please, no excuses about not being able to distribute them. I personally moved something like 8-10,000 pieces of literature singlehandedly in the week before the IA caucus in 2008. If you ended up with more literature than you could distribute, it shouldn't be that hard to find another RP supporter who can move the stuff instead of just letting it go to waste!

I can say without hesitation that I didn't work as hard as I could have in 2007 and 2008. I lost my motivation after Super Tuesday, since Indiana has such a late primary. It's definitely something that I regret, and I will make sure that it doesn't happen again this time around.

We have some stuff too, some of it we collected from volunteers after the campaign in NH was over and they didn't know what to do with it, others are just bits and pieces of stuff. Probably 50 to 100 of each kind of slim jim. I was planning on just crossing out the 08 and putting in 12 :)

Maybe we could get some really small stickers printed (like Dirk's TrueWorldHistory.info stickers) that say "The Revolution Returns" and put them at the top right above where we cross out the 08.

as thomas jefferson once said, in matters of style, swim with the current.. in matters of principle, stand like a rock... well, ron's stood strong on his principles and they haven't change since 2008

^^this is what i'm gonna say as i hand out 2008 slim jim's at friday's tea party in NH
