I really don't like "Ron Paul" asking people to vote for him in these online polls. They are useless and don't mean anything, and really just reflects poorly on him.

I really wish we could have a talk with the controller of Ron's facebook on how to maintain better professionalism and keep the status updates substantive with news events, not voting in petty polls.

They're usually good at this, but not always.

I'm a contributer on caffeinated thoughts, and the lone Paul supporter on the site that is full of Huck/Palin supporters.

As you know the site crashed seconds after the RP post. It is spotty right now, so keep trying. We have had about 1300 hits in 20 mins, much more than we are used to. I don't think this poll is going to be too close now :)

While you wait, consider checking out my other project:

republican4aday.com

"We are pro-peace Democrats, Independents, Libertarians and others who will be Republicans for a day to support pro-peace candidates Ron Paul or Gary Johnson."

And check back to caffeinated thoughts and vote when you can.

Also when the site has cooled down a bit, here is my latest article on CT:

Ron Paul Has Exploratory Committee Paperwork Done and Will Be in First Debate (http://caffeinatedthoughts.com/2011/04/ron-paul-has-exploratory-papers-done-and-will-be-in-first-debate/)

Thanks for your support of liberty!

What makes caffeinatedthoughts that important for Ron?

Caffeinated Thoughts is one of the top political blogs in Iowa. Read by about 1000 people a day, mostly Iowans.

Let's shake the establishment! Please, just be fair when you publish the results.

Don't cheat. Those guys are ok. They are part of a network of Palin blogs but play fair with polls and ask us to. We won their last poll, but not by a ton. Win friends, not just polls.

Also, I'd break the link. Although.... having gone to the facebook page it looks like the site owner knows what is going on and is ok with it as long as we are playing fair. Gives him traffic, too. And it is a nice site. I see it on nonRP stuff, too.

Unfortunately, you can't see the vote total when you go back, they want you to go see it when they announce it on facebook.

they are waiting to announce the results on facebook when the poll closes. I suspect the guy running the poll (fair, so far as I can tell, but a Palin supporter) thinks it might influence the results.

That apparently happens when it is overloaded, per comments on Ron's facebook page. This guy runs the site as a hobby and doesn't have the hugest servers in the world, although it is an influential site in conservative circles in Iowa.

The poll will be open for a few days, though, so you can come back to it. Just remember to do that.

Everytime I go on it shows me two options, 1) Bachmann and 2) Bachmann. And that's for both polls. I'm assuming the webpage isn't loading correctly?

Yeah, they said it was swamped because Ron linked it to his facebook page. It will be open all weekend though and we should bump it again tomorrow, so we aren't all voting at once.

They had 7000 hits the day Ron put it on facebook. I'm betting a bunch weren't able to vote.
