Can't watch the video now, but it's Doherty who spoke at the philly rally. One of the few good ones in NJ.,

he said Ron Paul talks about two very important issues that no one talks about: the fed and our overextended military.

Great video. This is the kind of packaging we need to sell the message. His speech was perfect to reach voters. It had just enough rational appeal and lots of positive emotional appeal. +rep for the vid.

From the wiki bio: "On November 10, 2007, Doherty became the first elected official from the state of New Jersey to publicly endorse Ron Paul for President of the United States"

I wonder if there's any people in that room who you (or whoever recorded the video) converted with that simple question... :)

Probably it encouraged a few at least to look more into Ron Paul. Also, I just found the link at the Daily Paul. I didn't record the video.

Interesting. Wonder if we can get this guy into the US Senate.

We need Mike Doherty to run for Senate against Menendez in 2012. If anyone on the board from NJ wants to organize a campaign to draft Doherty for the US Senate race in 2012, I'm definitely down to help with web/graphics stuff.

I will right a letter to him this week. I'm from Jersey, not near his district, but this is too good to pass up on!

A poll conducted by Fairleigh Dickinson University’s PublicMind during January 3-9, 2011 shows Menendez leading Doherty 40% to 30%. It's the smallest margin tied with Menendez vs Kean (who is the Minority Leader in the State Senate).

I campaigned for Doherty. He was endorsed by Paul, and won because his opponent bashed him.
