Problem is, I have a hard time voting down the nuclear power plant workers....

I don't participate with Time anymore. They put out a feeler video asking for video responses and votes from the people.

We had nearly a thousand video responses and trumped the actual voting by a longshot to which they not only ignored but didn't even give RP a mention.

Im all set with that.

Ya, that would be a great angle for how he was able to influence 2010, was the election of his son into the Senate, the whole Tea Party thing, etc..

Vote the other candidates down starting at the ones right above him. I did this and he jumped to 26. (not including the power plant workers/other people like them)

So don't. We're probably better off letting him come in right behind them.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but these people are already the TIME 100 for 2011 and the poll is pretty much useless.

I'm down-voting OP's list plus Sheen, Gingrich, Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Wisconsin's Senators, Biden, Beyonce, Bieber, Vick, Romney, Paul Ryan, Obama, Palin, Petraeus.

And...it won't let me downvote Gingrich

Fuck those guys. Keep going. Lets see what we can do.

Also, vote down whoever happens to be one spot ahead of Ron Paul. That effectively adds up to two votes for Paul. We are already rising pretty fast, we just need more momentum

Curious poll. It is actually measuring "most popular" while trying to search for "most influential". Those are not necessarily the same thing. I see "Rain" as one of the top vote getters. Is that as in the weather? Yeah- last year's poll ended up having nothing to do with their final list anyways but voted.

I think this is pointless because in the past Time has just removed Ron from the poll no matter what place he was in. I also don't think this has any bearing on who they choose. Still shared on my state page and the secret admins group.

Thanks. Another protip: clear history->open a bunch of tabs with the Ron Paul page and click on "yes" on all of them (don't submit yet), then fill out the captcha and submit 1 by 1.

But remember what happened the last time RP was in one of these polls? :p

Who are these 170 voters who are claiming that Ron Paul is not influential? Are they innocently ignorant, and randomly making claims which they have no evidence to back; or are they intentionally propagating propaganda? I generally adhere to the philosophy that there aren't stupid questions, only stupid answers; but in this case I must make an exception. The fact that Ron Paul ranks as a candidate on TIME's poll for the top 100 most influential people in the world, would seem to indicate that Paul has some influence. Next time, maybe the editors at TIME should review their own candidates, before they start asking every uninformed or misinformed goober, who can manage to stumble his way onto the internet, who isn't influential.
