Hosting a debate watching party

so as you may or may not know we're about one month away from the first debate of the primaries.

as much as I'd like to stay on the forums and/or in the chat and watch it with you folks, I really think we should organize debate-watching parties to reach out to voters in our communities.

Having never hosted one myself I thought I'd make this thread so we could share ideas.

I guess first and foremost I need to find a venue, a community center or something… make sure there's a TV and a cable service provider… make sure it stays open late enough

…think about getting some refreshments and advertise free beer or something :)

have a signup list to keep in touch with people, maybe include a column for a preferred candidate, if applicable

have some liberty propaganda on a table?

any other ideas?

Three kiinds - already Ron supporter party, anybody that wants to watch party, family and friends party

some ideas:

Projector
Buttons - yard signs - bumpers stickers - t-shirts
Posters and flyers to advertise the event
Lit to take from the event (with websites)
DVD's to take home

Great idea shemdogg, the debates were fun last time around. :)
Even when Ron had the least amount of time, he still did well.
