Please look at the site and get a feel for what we did back in Nov 2007.

I will update to the South Carolina Debate soon.

This is my list of things I have to do (if you can help, please do)

Locate and Link to the Major Venue (Fox Debate)

Locate and Link to Our Venue (Fundraisers and After Debate Event)

Locate and Link to the straw poll(s), text votes, or focus groups.

Post a Schedule of Activities.

Get maps of the area.

Find local hotels, air ports, RV sites, etc. for people traveling in.

Signs, banners, bumperstickers, etc. need to be shipped by April 20 to get there in time. We have less than 3 weeks to get this organized.

Maybe someone should start a Chip In to get the After Debate Venue and to help the local meetup group get the signs/banners. 500-1000 signs are needed plus at least 5 banners.

Please add anything I missed.

Hope this helps!

I found a couple possible venues:
Hyatt Regency (http://greenville.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/events/meetings/index.jsp)-Seats up to: 1,500 (http://greenville.hyatt.com/hyatt/images/hotels/gsprg/capacity.pdf)

And then you have the 15,000 seat Bi-Lo Center (http://www.bilocenter.com/arenainfo.html) haha

Find local hotels, airports, RV sites, etc. for people traveling in.

dntrpltt: Thank you.

That is exactly how and what I need.

"And then you have the 15,000 seat Bi-Lo Center haha"
That made me laugh!!!

Check the site and see how far I have gotten before anyone does anything. Don't need to reinvent the wheel.

One thing I need to do is make a contact in S.C. so we can ship signs up there. At this time, I don't think I will be able to make it.

A precinct list is needed to help bring people to the event. We were planning to mail out the following flyer to people within a 50 radius of the debate. We ran out of time so we handed them out to all the people inside the debate (and all the ones outside as well).

We did do some phone banking for the event. This should be done for anywhere Ron Paul is going to speak. A simple call "Hello my name is ****. I am just calling to let you know that Ron Paul will be speaking at ********* at ***p.m. For more information go to RonPaulDebate.com Thank you."

Haha No problem man! Let me know if I can help you in any other way!

Also, I live about 2:30-3 hours from SC, and I'm going, so if you can't find another contact in SC, I would be glad to accept the shipments.

Apparently someone else is using the Hyatt Regency ballroom for a Tea-Party rally (which may be worth attending)...
Facebook Event: http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=198157323557412
(from the list of guests, it seems that this may be an RP rally...)

This means the Regency is probably off the list of venue choices; the short list we had to begin with....
