I hope he goes on O'Reilly, so they can hash it out and maybe win some people over.

Exactly the reason not to trust him...he'll lead the sheep off a cliff. Regroup? Yes let's do that, and then send troops somewhere else!

What does Glenn Beck always preface his show with? He advocates people to do their own research. Don't necessarily accept the conclusions he has arrived at.

Lol. I was being sarcastic. Many people here dislike Israel so much that they overlook the fact that Beck is very non interventionist in his overall foreign policy positions.

Beck is not non-interventionist. He has said time and time again that he likes a lot of what Ron Paul says but disagrees with him on foreign policy.

Does it seem to anyone that there is any consistency to his reporting or opinion?
Why?

Right. For every clip you post that he talks about non-intervention you can point to another 3 stating exactly the opposite. The dude has no foundation, everyone needs to get over it.

His whole show yesterday was fearmongering about Sharia overtaking America.

No, he has a soft spot in his heart for Israel because it's surrounded by 270 million muslims regionally. Secondly, his affinity was strengthened for them after the events of 9/11. He's not a fan of Islamic fundamentalism though this clouds his judgment of Israel's sins. In fact, I bet he hasn't even seriously looked into the treachery of AIPAC and/or the U.S.S. Liberty accident.

I get sick of the Israel bashing and the demonization of Israel as well, but I also support full troop withdrawals and cutting all foreign aid. Israel is not perfect but it certainly is not a uber aggressive country as many like to paint it. It is surrounded by people who would rather blast it off the map.

You could replace "Israel" with "America" and that's the "conservative" argument for the war on terror.

So your thinking is that hes consistent with the one exemption being Israeli? Does being sympathetic to Israel include us meddling in the entire Middle East? How about say Africa? Really just trying to understand your reasoning not trying to be confrontational.

Glenn Beck: "We should pull all our troops out of the Middle East"
Fox News Debate Host: "So you think we should take our marching orders from Al-Qeada?"
Glenn Beck: "Um...ah...but.....natural resource...um...ah...."
Ron Paul: "Wow this all seems so familiar. . . "

I think he's fairly consistent with his neutralistic thoughts on foreign policy, especially given the failures shown with the Iraqi as well as Afghanistan occupations. Now regarding his unyielding affinity for Israel, I still think he hasn't been weened off the notion that America has a moral obligation to mobilize in the event that Iran and it's proxies aggressively move against Israel. But I am encouraged that he wants to see American forces exit the Middle East and abandon this foolish "Israeli security force" role in the interim.

I suppose the difference being Israel has people constantly detonating themselves in their cities and rockets lobbed at them over and over again. It is not the same thing at all. Should people idly sit by and take rocket attacks and explosions that kill their people? Are you advocating this? How would you solve this problem? Israel may not take the exact measures required, but you must understand this is a land dispute....there is no make up and be nice about it all. Multiple parties want the land Israel occupies right now.
Those who have been born and lived in Israel their whole lives feel they have a right to defend their homes against people who would take it from them. That is the situation like it or not. Both sides claim the same land as their own, though the Palestinians are simply playing the diplomacy game to get the land little by little because they have a weak hand. Israel of course holds the land so they would like the conflict to stop....
Way to make an inaccurate parallel. I don't attempt to defend Israels every action but I can appreciate the predicament the Israelis are in and I can see why Palestenians are also upset. The difference is I see both sides.

He's said many times recently that he's starting to agree with Ron's foreign policy views more and more. He said that he's "on the road to Ron Paul."

He's just personally a fan of Israel. That doesn't mean that he wants the United States to base it's foreign policy objectives on what Israel wants or needs.

I like Israel myself - why hold that as a point against Glenn Beck? They are a sovereign state and have the right to self-determination. I esteem them for their democracy and unique culture, and wish them peace and prosperity.
It is my belief that Israel should defend itself as it sees fit, and America shouldn't presume to dictate policy to it; but by the same token, we shouldn't be expected to pay for their policies. And, of course, I believe that about all other nations as well.
And it sounds like Glenn Beck is moving in that direction if he wants to bring our troops home. So I think this is a very good thing.

But seriously, he called the military a resource. "Don't waste them." You're making it sound like he was talking about oil. Donald Trump was. He wants to take Iraq's oil -- an idea Bill O'Reilly thought was so outrageous, he warned Trump of BLOWBACK.

Geez this gets fucking tiresome. I'm not even a fan of Beck but can you stop every time someone disagrees with you "oh they must be paid", "aha they are an agent of the CIA".
It's just a guy who happens to have a different opinion than you. If there is a job where you get paid to post on Internet forums please sign me up though because that sounds awesome.
