I always thought people read too much into the Regan-Reagan video. Regan's personality was just more abrasive. He was a big mouth and was probably feeling extra cocky back home on the floor.

Anyway, America is/was run by the foxes, while the USSR was run by the lions. It doesn't take much for Americans to buy on credit. And bankers love credit. If there is any significance here, then I think it's bankers pushing for things like cashless transactions. Banks don't make money when people deal in cash and barter. The lives of the fox bankers becomes a lot easier when they have a willing dupe. Americans enchanted with technology and credit make pushing for a cashless society all the easier. Americans just buying into another version of their enslavement.
