I think over 1.5 million will be raised on the 5th...

Over 9,000 subscribers are currently registered and with more registering each day, I believe over 15,000 people will have subscribed by the 5th of November. This alone would be 1.5 million. Moreover, consider that many of those subscribed will donate more than 100 dollars.

I think we will see a 1.5 million plus day for Dr. Paul!

i voted 2-3 million

it seems we gain 1000 new members every day. i'm not even counting the fact that the site becomes more popular by the day. so assuming this trend continues, and assuming the amount of people who donate more than $100 balances out those who donate less, it should fall somewhere between 2 and 3 million.

just within the last day or two, thisnovember5th.com has started gaining more viewers than dailypaul.com and ronpaulforums.com, or so says alexa.com anyway.

the only thing which would keep it from doing that is if the amount of people joining slowed considerably between now and then, or if we gain so many people that we end up crashing Ron Paul's site on that day, keeping people from donating.

it is true, there's a pretty high bail-out rate on pledges of any type. I'm guessing it'll be around 1 mil, especially after I annoyed the hell out of Hell's Unicorn and others who said that my obnoxiousness would cause them to increase their donations.:D

I hope so! I like to be conservative about these sorts of things. I think it's feasible we'll get 12,000 signups, but I'll estimate that 1/2 will follow through, and the average donation will be $75. So my guess is around 450,000. Prove me wrong, suckers! :D

Is there any way to get the 5th's website to the top of the search engines?

Relative search terms coupled with high traffic. Or buy a sponsored link position which people (or at least I) tend to ignore.

First of all, Welcome to the Forums Mr. Chicken!

To answer your question, YES! $12 million will help tremendously! That puts us up in the top tier candidate fundraising. You better believe they'll say a lot about it! Just think how much press we got for $5 million! If we reach the goal it will definitely put us ahead of McCain in donations. Thompson, Romney, and Giuliani's max donors are already tapped! Then you figure in all of the advertising we can do with all this money and his chances go up to one of the favorites! If we can get up to $3 million by the end of this quarter we should be in pretty good shape.

I think in $500,000-$750,000 range. I'd be surprised and quite happy if it actually turns out to be more than that.

will be at least double that plus the 74K myspace people are aware of this event so to be conservative

Avg of $125 a donation I see over 5 mil easy and I truly believe we will push 10 mil that day, I just think PEOPLE have had enough especially people investing in Wall ST that see this constant MANIPULATION now on a daily basis have had enough!

If we are going to get a website to the top of the search engines, make it be a SITE THAT IS NOT ASKING FOR MONEY.

for example, www.ronPaulIsHope.com or another video site Then we can have that site link to the nov5th website.

Assume a 50% flake-out rate. (Hey, lower expectations...) Now, let's assume the average donation is $75 and 12,000 are signed up.

Around $450,000 I estimate. I'm hoping for $1.5M, though; I want to be pleasantly surprised.

i think it will even out to around 1.5

The problem I see with this is, everyone will donate on Nov 5th, and we'll hit 1.5 million or so in one day - but then nothing for the entire rest of the month.

Just like how we had that 430k thing in 3 days. When the event was happening, donations poured in like mad. But now look where we are now. We are like at an all time low for donations and aren't close to hitting our goal.

I think we'll bring in maybe 1.5mil on nov 5th but then hardly anything the rest of the month, raising maybe a total of 2.5 million max in novenmber including offline donations and fundraisers, not close to the november goal of 4 million.

Karrl
10-28-2007, 10:52 PM
$5 million was raised in last 3 months. $2.5 million in one month is a rate equal to $7.5 million for 3 the next 3 months. Thats hardly an all time low!

I believe Nov 5th will raise $1 million plus.

Hook
10-28-2007, 10:58 PM
It will all average out over the month to normal rates, so don't worry about all time low donations.
Nov. 5 isn't likely to raise total donations for the quarter, but might get some attention from the press.

fj45lvr
10-28-2007, 11:00 PM
Well if the campaign promises to burn the first commercial maybe it could spike donations.

realitywiz
10-28-2007, 11:29 PM
If we all put linked to the Nov. 5th web site in our signature lines, that would make somewhat of an impact as far as traffic goes. Search engines take into account the number of inbound links to a site.

Also we can search for "November 5th" or "Ron Paul" or other such keywords on the search engines, and click on the sites, and deliberately spend some time on those sites, and then following a link to other related sites (try not to hit the Back button),... if we can do all these things in this order, we can significantly improve the rankings for all these sites.

Search engines take into account a user's behavior to judge the quality and popularity of a site.

This may also register on the Alexa Movers and Shakers list at http://alexa.com/site/ds/movers_shakers. You can bet that would catch the attention of the Internet Marketing crowd, who would spread the fact like wildfire.

Maybe you're right about this one...

We want newcomers to see that video first, and then the Nov. 5th thing.
