Wow that would be a nightmare.

But he isn't running, right? Because he'd lose money being POTUS?

I think he is being coy at this point and WILL end up running.

These results look pretty decent for Ron IMO. Around 75% name recognition, meaning we need to work overtime in the next 8 months to capture as much of the remaining 25% as possible. 17% strongly favorable out of those 75% is roughly 12.75% of the Republican electorate who views him very favorably. This lines up consistently with the 8-10% that he's been polling. Only about 2-3% of the Republican electorate views him "very unfavorably." We need to hold that number where it is.

Bottom line: We need to do work emphasizing a strong, positive message which doesn't threaten to alienate any voters. If we do that, Ron could climb from 8-10% to 12-15% on the basis of increased name recognition alone.

Yeah well he will be sunk if his record is actually communicated to the voting Republican base.

Nah, I believe those numbers. Huck is a "likable" guy, and I'd expect him to do well in this sort of poll. The important takeaway should be the relatively limited upside for Palin, Huck, Gingrich, and Romney given their name recognitions; and actually, they have substantial downside since their unfavorable ratings are low and they will all be hammered on once the campaign gets rolling and debates start happening. This is all good for Ron, who as I mentioned in my previous post, still has considerable upside. We have to do our jobs to ensure that the potential is realized.

high unfavorables will kill any candidate, we gotta try to keep them down

Which is why Palin is toast. Hopefully she realizes it and stays out of the race.
