I am not familiar with an audio playlist app that allows individual sharing and liking, but I will look around.

As long as I'm here, I'll throw out some suggestions for what I'd love to hear "The Perturbed Patriot" talk about next:

1) Healthcare - I know its been done quite a bit, but there is a lot to cover and the issue is far from disappearing. Could do entire segments on Obamacare's ridiculously intrusive mandate to buy insurance; Or a segment on the relationship between tax breaks for medical "insurance" and rising prices due to "insurance". Maybe something on the link between the rising share of healthcare paid for by 3rd parties (govt and insurances) and the rising cost. For example:


From CMS.gov (medicare and medicaid site):

In 1970, U.S. health care spending was about $75
billion, or $356 per resident, and accounted for
7.2% of GDP.
• Health care spending has risen about 2.4
percentage points faster than GDP since 1970.
• CMS projects that by 2018, health care spending
will be over $4.3 trillion, or $13,100 per resident,
and account for 20.3% of GDP

That's an excellent point, sir. The facts you posted are things I've skimmed over in the past, but are extremely relevant to the debate and discussion. It would require 2 of the 6 days being devoted to the topic to make any headway, but it is certainly a worthwhile venture.

On a personal note, my primary gripe with Obamacare is the mandate. From my perspective, its just another (huge) step the government has tried to make in controlling our lives. As I'm sure you're aware, HMOs came about because of government, and look what happened. I'm not inclined to believe that a new government healthcare program can fix or undo the ills of the old one. And why the hell should a healthy, 20 or 30 something be forced to buy medical insurance? Why is the IRS in charge of enforcing the mandate?

Blegh.
