Wow, only 5 for RON PAUL? Has the Big Mean Spam Machine gone awry or basement skinheads don't wake up so early?

This wasn't really Ron's facebook. The "Ron Paul 2012" facebook isn't run by anyone associated with Ron or the campaign. It does have a lot of followers, however, as we've taken over this poll :)

I make it my duty to vote against Ron in all these targeted online polls. What is this obsession with winning online polls? like the establishment wont just laugh it off as another meaningless online poll won by Ron Paul. On the other hand, if I happen to stumble to it on my own, I will vote for Ron.

Well, you have a portion of the population that will answer any poll as if it's important, and a portion of the population that hangs up the second they realize that's a computer, not a human, producing that voice at the other end, and a portion of the population who puts forth the message that the results of these computerized polls indicates that no one agrees with the latter and everyone agrees with the former.

And you get sick of it.

Good thing you are a minority on this one... IMHO Hope you do not feel this way about the primaries...

lol, not at all. This attitude is only limited to online polls posted on this forum. I live in Omaha so my primary vote is essentially irrelevant to the grand scheme of things but I will still support Ron Paul in any real life action vote.

I can see not voting, but voting against is pretty rotten if you do support him. The purpose is the readership. This one I wouldn't have raised except that a DP post made it sound like Ron or someone in his office had actually asked us to, so I was responding to that. If he wants it, and it's easy, why wouldn't you want to give it to him?

But usually it is a matter of the readers of that blog or whatever seeing it. Townhall has one that is actually important because they have a ton of members who see the results, plus they seem to tailor their coverage of politicians in their various publications based on who is winning. What they do NOT do, unfortunately is change the bar code graphic they post on all conservative blogs that perennially shows Ron as about 4th or 5th (but at least he is ON the graphic). He actually came in second in February, and I'd like him to come in first in April. I won't post it right now because I don't want you voting against him.

Lol! Check this out.

When Palin is winning:

371 Interesting. Ron Paul only gets 1.9% of the vote in a poll that cannot be spammed.

Posted by: bob at March 28, 2011 11:11 AM (UgHb4)

524 A of S CANNOT be spammed. One vote per customer.

Check out Ron Paul's totals if you don't believe me.

Sarah Palin has a hell of a lot of supporters. Check out Organize4Palin if you don't believe me. Currently there is a grassroots efforts to organize for Palin in all 50 states.

In addition Palin has won the two townhall.com polls in January and February and the American Spectator straw poll held in February, these polls were also set up where they could not be spammed.

575 Ron Paul, congratulations for taking the first lead in the A of S poll. You just made the great comeback in the history of polling. /sarc

WTF?

596 Ron Paul supporters in my experience are all a bunch of closeted gay virgin truther types who get a hard on when they talk about the U.S. Constipation, and just love talking about personal responsibility even though they still live in their mommy's basement and spam conspiracy polls all day long. I would consider listening to his arguments but I want nothing to do with such mentally challenged losers. And his well-documented history of anti-semitism does nothing to help his case either.

I make it a habit to vote in these polls just to annoy the hell out of our opponents. I'll admit, the spamming of online polls used to make me roll my eyes. But you really can't win with these people. If Paul does poorly in one of them, they laugh and claim it's evidence that he can't gain any support(Never mind the fact that he's at least second tier this time around in real world polling) The second he gains the lead, they use it as evidence that the Paulians cheated. They won't accept us even if we win fair, so why not just invalidate the whole process and make them sputter a little. Immature perhaps, but amusing nonetheless.

You're right, it is fun. I love watching people's heads explode when you wrap them up in logic and they have nowhere to go so they resort to acting ludicrous.
